  • I got the 12, it’s amazing! The clean is very clean. The gain is pretty good, almost DS-1 like in the highest gains. Given the 6” speaker, you loose the lows as they get clipped with high gain or with a high distortion pedal. So if you want to chug in drop D nonstop it would be great for that.

  • Salutations Colin!
I wanted to just let you know how much I have appreciated the entertainment and educational value within your amazing content over the years, and I mainly just wanted to say thank you!
Also, as natively an American? My genetic biological blood lineage is in fact unapologetically Scottish.
    Scottland Forever! Ha!
Cheers mate, and please never stop being freakin awesome!

  • I play the crush 20r now for around 15 years. Started with the old model and then got the newer version.
I love those amps. The only downside (for me) is that the controls are on the top and not on the front. Beside that…i would buy one again if one of mine gets damaged in the future. Versetile and great cleans.
Plug and play…thats my world. ????????????

  • Orange Crush sounds great. I sold mine years ago, but the guy really liked my pairing with a Schecter C-1 Platinum, so he took the whole rig!

  • Ts9 or Boss sd1, which pedal works better as a boost for the orange crush dirty channel? I've got a Crush20rt

  • You know where I can find parts for these? I have a Crush 15R in 220 50Hz. I now live in Canada so I would like to change the transformer out to work in 110 60Hz.

  • It’s wild you gotta say “analog” amp. Used to be that’s just what we assumed unless otherwise stated.

I’ll just go and quietly die now.

  • I have the Orange Crush 12 and love it. I honestly, don't see the point of either the 20 watt or 35 watt model for home playing? I could see the 35 watts for lower stage volume gigging and occasional home use. So that sort of leaves the 20 watts out. Maybe lower volume band practice, the kind adults do in a neighborhood basement? But I kind of think the Crush 12 could even do that pretty well. Anyone have thoughts of how you could use the 20 watts over the 12? Unless you just want to assault your ears more? I get told to turn down the 12 all the time actually. Doesn't have headroom, but for home practicing….who cares? And I can get that grit at reasonable levels – and it has a pretty decent bass response – kind of shocking from a 6.5" speaker to be honest.

  • Thank you so much 4 this video! Very useful was the expanation of the speakers. I thought, the bigger, the better. So a 12" must be always better than a 8 oder 10. So the 35 RT would be the best (and most expensive) option. But for my Bedroom Homestudio i think the 20 RT is perfectly fine. Greets from Germany!

  • I have one as a practice amp for at home. They’re brilliant. I’ve even used it in the studio for overdubs. I love its overdriven sound. I’d genuinely buy an Orange Crush overdrive pedal if they made one.

  • A beginner needs options for sounds to learn and play different types of songs. These amps are stuck in 1980 and just sound like generic Budget solid state amps. Thats why katana holds yhe market.

  • I love the crush 12 – I used the one my school had for years, every summer and Easter holiday I would ask if I could borrow it. However near the end of my last year there (2024) it had enough of the abuse from the other students and died. I ended up taking it home to mend, my music teacher said I was the only one who took interest in the amp as well as that it was brought for £30 a few years ago, I was then told I could ether keep it or bin it or bring it back if I got it working or I could keep it as spares, let’s just say me and my grandad mended it ,I think it was a blown diode in the end, I still have it ????.

  • the decision that orange made to put a cab out on the micro crush is brilliant, its as brilliant as the boss katana head having a small 5" built in speaker.
its one of those things where you think why others dont do it. that little orange amp is very good gateway drug of amps for new users
