  • I literally found one in my neighbors garbage on top of the pail. Took it home, upgraded tuners to Grover and did a serious set up. Plays great!

  • I just got one of these today for $125 US (plus a bit too much shipping). It has a humbucker fit P90 and saddle adjustable bridge. I've been looking for one to do a P90 conversion, and I figured this might be a start. I'll see how good or bad it is when it arrives.

  • Noice review! Thinking of getting one of these used and popping a humbucker sized P90 in there to make it more of a true LP Jr.
    But…
Let's talk about your collection of empty bourbon bottles, lol

  • I bought one to upgrade with new tunners and I swap the humbucker for a dog hear P90. Now , it's one of my best guitar tone. It is verry versatile.

  • I know this is a 4 year old vid but just for nerdy info sake, I just stripped the finish off one of these and yes it is a mahogany body. What surprised me is that just under the black on both the front and back is a thin maple veneer. Over the maple veneer is a coat of clear poly then the thick black poly.
You have to sand off the maple veneer to get to the mahogany.

  • Thanks for this video.
Ordered one of these guitars on eBay. Has anyone here exchanged the pickup for a better humbucker or a p90?

  • Got one today for 90 bucks. Put on some Elixir strings and it sounds spectacular! I have owned many guitars- Fender strat, Washburn, Hondo etc and this is my favorite guitar so far.

  • No joke I found one of these in the garbage of my dad's apartment complex when I was in high school. Kept it at his place so I had a guitar when I'd visit and recently re-acquired it into my normal arsenal.

Absolutely stealthy little killer. I put a wrap around bridge with adjustable saddles, locking tuners and a cheap GFS Mean 90 humbucker sized P90. But the original pickup is actually surprisingly hot and pretty impressive, just wanted to try something new.

If you can find one of these for a decent price expecting to swap bridge and tuners, go for it!

  • I've got one of these with that ugly tobacco burst, but replaced the pickup with a P90 humbucker. What a great little guitar. I'm thinking I'll it up for heavier strings and slide down the road. I love cheap guitars.

  • First time watching a clip here, mostly because I just picked one of these up fairly cheap and wanted to get some impressions before it arrives. Pretty much what I expected – a solid, unpretentious little guitar that is well suited to pretty much any style, works well with pedals, etc. And hey, thanks for playing it clean, with and without picks! As a clean tone/no picks guy that's extremely helpful, something every guitar YT'er should do. Looking forward to getting my hands in it soon!
