HX Stomp + Iridium | Updated Pedalboard Rundown 2020

Here is an updated pedalboard rundown using the HX Stomp and Iridium.
I combined the Iridium board I built last year with parts of the HX Stomp board so I can utilize wet effects pre/post amp and run the full board to amps in stereo or sum to mono for a single amp using the DISO+ DI box from Pinstripe Pedals (mounted underneath the board).

The Stomp allows flexibility to use on-demand stereo wet effects post amp, dual amps, act as a recording interface, and for silent practicing.

The board is built on a Pedaltrain Novo 24 (24″ x 14.5″) board with Mogami, Monorail, BTPA cables, and Square Plugs (SP400, SP550-S).

Another change was cutting the power cables to length which allowed cleaner cable runs and freed up space underneath the board.

I am also using the Pedaltrain Patch Panel from BTPA to run the guitar and power to the board. The Powercon connector on the patch panel allows me to use a Powercon cable to “lock” into the patch panel and not have to worry about the IEC cable being disconnected.

Here are some links to soldering patch cables (for Square Plugs), power cables, and more info on the BTPA Pedaltrain Patch Panels:

Here is a link to the board in the band mix:

In order to keep the cable runs cleaner I placed the pedals in these loops going from right to left on the board.

  • how do I connect the iridium for amp/cab to the stomp for modulation via send/return? I intend to run overdrive pedals into the input of the stomp. is there a specific cable for that?

  • Found the vid while looking for info on the DISO+. My board is earily similar minus the HStomp. Do you have any photos of the underside? I'd love info on the actual build. Great work!

  • Aaaahhh man! Soo inspiring! I've just got a stomp and already had an iridium. A couple of mates thought I was mad, but you've just shown me I did the right thing – so much versatility! Thanks for posting. You've got a cracking set up there. Nice one. Rock on!

  • Killer board my man ! Great taste in pedals ???? Interested to know: I’m seeing on a lot of boards two Specular Tempus. Other than the fact that it looks sick! Just wondering why you have two? Are there limitations to just having one? I mean I’m going to buy one anyway, just seeing if I need to buy two while I’m at it ????

  • Well you answered my question in the video about the Tempus carry over.
This is a killer board as always. Awesome tones. Really digging the analog tones from the thermae and want to grab one and try the crazy stuff too. Thanks man!
