My name is Jens Larsen, Danish Jazz Guitarist, and Educator. The videos on this channel will help you explore and enjoy Jazz. Some of it is how to play jazz guitar, but other videos are more on Music Theory like Jazz Chords or advice on how to practice and learn Jazz, on guitar or any other instrument.
The videos are mostly jazz guitar lessons, but also music theory, analysis of songs and videos on jazz guitars.

More videos like this? Suggestions for topics? Let me know 🙂
Now teach us longer solo EXAMPLE using arpeggios, jam with it.
How are these created
Always great ideas Jens.. ????
So great always! Thank you. I’m very much enjoying your videos. Cheers,
Shane
Good, short lessons …. keep them coming.
And thanks.
That was a worthwhile 37 seconds! I like the shorter lessons.
Will now use similar logic on the other six arps in this scale. Thanks Jens.
Love this kind of "mini lessons" cuz you need the feel to jump and "try, practice", easy to comprehend and adding to your vocabulary!
I hear the lick hiding in there.
Thank you jens. It seems so easy (when you are the player)…
Amazing!
I'm a little bit confused. I find interesting that you play approach notes on beat 3. I've seen them on beat one, sometimes as part of a 4 note enclosure, but never on beat 3. Maybe I just need to transcribe more solos.
That's the kind of stuff that works for me. Simple, easy and efficient.
Love your short tips.
Cheers from Brazil
shorts is so good sometimes. I've been itching to learn a run like that, thank you!
Brilliant lesson. Thanks, Jens!
I am not truly a musician, but it is such a nice feeling to hear a plain line like this and recognize it from a song I know. Makes the song more enjoyable. One day I will work on my ear more and music will make more sense to my ears 🙂
simple, but, SWEET
AMAZING AS ALWAYS THANK YOU #JensLarsen !
have you thought of making viewer's transcription reviews? i've never seen anybody do it
Love the simple, super practical demonstration! This middle aged beginner appreciates it. Well done Jens!
Wonderful idea, Jens. Enclosures are so useful. Thanks
i like to learn in short nuggets
Great Stuff !
What exactly are ‘enclosures’? Some parts look like scale fragments and some parts are chromatic add ons?
Excellent
Well done. I'm actually a better player now. Maybe a short lesson on an eartraining tip to help the person who can hear chord quality and intervals but struggles to recognize them on the fly.. just asking for a friend..
"It's pretty easy to become Dan's favourite jazz guitar youtuber"
Yes please! Definitely more like this!
This is the best 'short' so far. That diagonal Maj7 arpeggio is very visual too. Great stuff, thank you Jens.
Hej Jens!
Man i wish i could keep up
short but sweet… and quite useful too!
Very helpful, thanks!
