That sounds like ass. So weak, no support for the music, no fundamental, no foundation for the rest of the band to build on. Stop trying to play Guitar Hero, and be the force that ground and moves the music along. You can always tell the players who play only in their own bedrooms, and have never played a live gig with a real band.

I use it on bass, all knobs set to 12. Honestly sounds awesome and if you kick on a fuzz over the top youre in heaven

Kind of a DUg Pinnick Kings X sound. Tech 21 makes a pedal that does this in an excellent way. Theie design allows for the bottom end to fill up without cutting the sic distortion sound. Your setup sounds cool. if it could blend with your amp sound, it would be perfect. ( might be doing that already, just crappy computer speakers)

I like how it completely destroys the low end and that beautiful starting tone.
I got one of these running through a boss geb-7. I keep them close together so I can activate them at the same time. Not a bad pedal for the money. There's also a ton of info out there on how to mod them for bass. ????????

Not a good song sample for those settings. I'd take at least half of the "aggressiveness" of that audio sample.
Though i can think of a couple early Metallica isolated bass tracks that sounded similar to this.

My DS-1 is has a permanent home on my board.
Stand alone or using it as a boost into my Big Muff it’s more versatile than many give it credit for.
I had one of these and gave it to a guitar player friend. The distortion sounds amazing but it completely removes the actual bass frequencies. There’s no more rumble.
