So Much information in these short videos (and so much inspiration)
Thank you.
What is 2 5 1 ?
A simple part played reasonably well that locks in with the rhythm section is always welcome.
Good advice. Also – those chords sound really good!!
Arigato gusay mas

I don't see fundamental G note on G7(#9b13)
Are these chords also used in NEO SOUL? If so, they could be the stepping stones for that genre as well.
Sweet sounding Notes

Wow Dude, you're very good at sharing this stuff!
????
Thank you! This advice is encouraging and very easy to understand. I'm part way there.
This is also a great idea for the more advanced players after taking a long break from composing music and practicing improvisational skills. My poor fingers and wrist were very tired, and I had to take a long vacation. I also want to touch base with other genres that I have been neglecting for a long time in order to learn jazz. Changing the subject: As my jazz skills were improving, I found that good jazz bebop phrasing seems to work well in the seventh [B] half diminished chord, and also the dominant [G] fifth chord in the key of [C] for example. This isn't always the case, but it does seem to be a very good place to start. This is where I had my biggest breakthrough as far as bebop phrasing skills are concerned. But I was actually in the key of [Bb] borrowing from the key of [F Major]. I don't want to get involved with politics, but I think invading another country is not a good idea. I don't want to take sides, but the way they are treating those people just doesn't look good ????
The initial Shell Voicings here are easier to play, sound better (because of their spacing and better voice leading) and more versatile (because extensions can be added and Root Notes removed). Even though I am still working (slowly) on Chord Melody, I can see how the examples here can prepare and / or develop one's skills for such. If anyone watches this video and thinks at first it may be 'tricky,' I'd encourage them to take a closer look – it's a lot easier than it appears. This even teaches and develops Chord Spelling – which can be used for so many things. Nice one Jens ! 🙂
