  • Wow! For a church sound guy that had not heard multi-track recordings, it is a lot more vibrant, punchy and full – a little louder but all elements can be heard. And then the ability to adjust is remarkable. Thank you Chris for sharing – so much to learn!!!

  • Question, was that live sound, or sound reinforcement?
The answer is probably why your mix sounds good in a room, but bad on a stereo recording.

Sound engineers who do the "live mastering" method can get away without needing a second mix for their steam.

When mixing live sound, you can't hear much from the stage, in sound reinforcement, you are hearing a lot from the stage and just bringing everything to level in the room.

  • There’s only so much you could do live when the musicians play around with their settings every effing song.

  • Congrats on the tour in March. I hope you will have time
For some Youtube posts or else record some stuff and post after the tour. Full console choice and rig rundown

  • You should send this video to every band/client before their show(s) going forward as an advertisement for more multitrack/mix work 🙂

  • With the WING you could to the LR and MultiTrack recording at the same time, if I am right. And then do the Multitrack mix again on the WING as well (virtural "soundchecking" it, but for recording).

As a drummer, thats why abhor the "deep snare" tuning. Sounds like a floor tom with wires and its horrible.

  • Great to see a master working his craft. So awesome of you to offer multi-track recordings to the bands at Dingbatz for such a reasonable fee.

  • My church is likely going to gain the ability to record multitrack with Dante. The great thing about this is we can then do virtual sound check.

  • Most of the time i just do the LR stereo and sounds good there was only one time when i did multi tracks and i think I'll stick with just doing the LR stereo because it's enough for me personally, i mostly track shows for me and give them to the bands as well for free if they ask for the recording, being a service thst is not paid extra it's not worth my time to sit there maybe for hours mixing all the multi tracks when i know that 90% of the time the LR mix is pretty solid
