I taught myself in a different way. I learned where all of the notes were along the fretboard. I wrote my own songs and then afterwards I learned how to play the songs by my favorite bands.

This has been great for my fingers after part 2 I was playing easily 50 %faster and way more accurate. In one night I have made more progress than I had in the 4 weeks since I started learning to play.

My grandson texted me today, sent me a vid of him playing iron man, one finger, one string. He's learning. After 2 years with a les Paul I gave him. Now I'm going to ruin it, try to teach him 2 strings, 12 bar blues. Not going to take him away from one string, but expand a bit.

This tutorial is first class however I have a question? My first finger is very much shorter than it should be which makes it impossible to use it, so would it be easier for me to use my second finger for these notes and would it be possible to achieve the same outcome.

Thank you, thank you , so much . I been trying for awhile to learn a few notes , song ,well just anything that would sound like a song but no luck at all. Now I watched you and I am already playing these 15 songs and my friends and family are like is that smoke on the water and ect. I tried to watch and learn with many videos and a few of my friends that are great guitarist but nothing.
