I actually saw John deacon when i was like 7
80's is 10 times better than anything they play today
I cut my teeth on bass by learning every bass note on Iron Maiden Killers!
Why is he wearing a glove?
Harris played hard fingering like Geezer Butler…harder is a workout, I copied Geezer also…
How did you not include Blood and Roses?
"that prove the 80s WEREN’T $hit" ??? What the hell? 😀 The 80s are the pinnacle of music.
like Walz, never carrying a weapon in war, Scott has never carried a bass through a song
scott never played the megadeth mtv opening…like Harris, lying and faking…the whole video is like being unburdened by what was…WTF is that bullshit
Great video. But it’s that descending bass part right after the into of It’s So Easy that really ties the intro and the song together
This whole thing is so nostalgic!! Live After Death is why I started playing but being an aspiring bassist at that time I had to learn these songs and more back in the day just to be able to play live with bands. Still play professionally today but those were the days!!!!????
higher ground was Stevie Wonder 1973
Big Generator…. Chris had some tight work on that. Still have that "CD" on my playlist… Talk (from the 90s) was sick too
These two are so animated. Best duo 10/10. (and so is higher ground)
Steve Harris, Geddy Lee, Lemmy, and Gene Simmons are my favorites.
I don't know if you ever seen the Finnish comedian Ismo, but his bit about the multivalent usage of the word "shit" in English definitely comes into play it this title. My temperature was starting to rise when I thought you were dissing 80s rock….
FYI – Squire plays a 5 string Tobias on I'm Running.
I know it was the late 70's but to me the best opening bass line was Runnin With The devil by Van Halen 🙂
I'm thinking your title is screwy
I’m Running and Turn The Page!!! I’m sooooo grateful you included these, particularly I’m Running because Big Generator is one of the most ignored Yes albums along with Talk. Thank you so much.
Would be fun if you guys did I was made to loving you with Kiss and Billie Jean with Michael Jackson. ????
The Violent Femmes Bassist would put these guys to shame.
You guys are awesome, and I love that you include Eric Avery! Subscribed!
No sweet child intro or was that 90s?

That Yes and Rush album both remind me of mowing the lawm with my walkman. Listened to both of those tapes a LOT when they were new.
Lemmy! R.I.P we miss you
Who said the 80s were Shit? The 80s were absolutely brilliant, especially with the musical variety.
Higher ground is cool and all… But the bass intro in nobody weird like me is so much cooler
