  • I think it's more like parallel than stereo. If it was stereo the speakers would be set up at different distances. I can even hear it on my headphones as mono. However, I believe parallel configuration makes the best sound for bass though. Also, most rock/metal songs, the bass is mixed in mono, not stereo.

    Cool sound though!

  • How do you split your pickups? Love the peaveys. My first amp is the peavey basic 110. I only wish they had a built in d.i out to go to a mixer

  • Hi Joe you have done a great job, never seen anyone transfer all this onto a Fender before, try a new set of Rotosound roundwound strings. Think about adding a fuzz then connected to a Cry Baby both connected on the treble pick channel but only have a tiny bit of fuzz on with the fuzz tone full treble. Mix that with your smoother sounding pick on the other channel and with a bit of testing you might get the Chris Squire biting clunky Rickenbacker sound. Cry Baby pedals and modern fuzz pedals with tone are not too expensive.
That made me laugh Sean Fedson.

  • hey, great vid. I've been thinking about butchering a Squier bass and adding ric pickups/stereo outs. guys on "talk bass" say it's not possible to make a ric out of a fender lol! you proved them wrong.
cool amps too, I literally have the same amps as you. they were being thrown out, drizzling I took them home and they fired right up lol.
