  • Hi. I'm considering buying an LS 16 model, but I don't know which one. Maybe LS 16 M or LS 16. Can you recommend one of the two? I don't have the opportunity to try it because they don't have it in my city. Thank you very much. Greetings from Denmark.

  • You make great videos, I appreciate. I own a Yamaha LS16 ARE. Yamahas are great, maybe the best….

  • Do you prefer this one or the FS 5?
Do they have the exakt same body dimensions and body depth?
    Cheers.

  • I saw people say that the distance between strings (not on fretboard) is smaller than for example on Cort Gold O8 or Martin OM28 or other similar guitars with 44.5mm. Is it true?

  • Hi, I’ve been learning on a Veela’s 3/4 solid Koa but been longing for something with a bit more body, depth and sustain. I have had a brief look at one at these LS16 but do you think I would regret it over a full size dreadnought?

  • I love your videos – I was hoping also to hear how the SRT Zero Impact Pickups sound, so perhaps that is something to add in the future. Thanks so much for these videos!

  • That thing sounds really good. I was listening in the background and it really came alive with the capoed fingerpicking.

  • Ordered the LS16 ARE today in chocolate finish after reading and watching Jarvis and others. Unfortunately even our biggest stores don’t stock it, so I’ll unbox, play and then decide whether to keep or return to Amazon. Hate to do it that way, but the lack of stock leaves me no other choice.

  • Played LS16 today at music shop and was very impressed – small body with big sound.. Also played a $4k Martin D28 and honestly the LS16 was like 80-90% of the sound for like 25% of the coin. video thumzed – keep smiling Jarvis!

  • How would the A3R ARE compared to this LS16ARE? Noticed the A series has an active pickup but this is a passive pickup. But subjectively, some say the sound natively sounds better on the LS when compared to the A series. Do you have any preference when compared to the 2?

  • I bought both a LS6 and a LS16 first gen. There was no difference between the two in the look, feel or tones. I kept the LS6 and returned the LS16 because the LS6 cost less and thought that it's rosewood ply back and side construction was stronger so it would hold up better over time. So far so good. Love my LS6. Cheers!

  • Lovely sounding guitar. I just got an LS-TA which I think is the same as the LS16 with out the TA effect. You are right that they compare well to guitars costing 3 times as much. My guitar sounds amazing to me and I want to play it every day – and I do.
Scale length is 25 9/16 though so it's not a short scale. Love your videos brother.

  • I love my LS16. And my FS5. And my old FG700…can't go wrong with Yamaha. Btw, Jarvis, it's always good to see how much you enjoy playing.
