Precision bass matches the best for PUNK musics
The P bass for this song hands down, though if I had to choose one of basses to buy I’d pick up the PJ. Sometimes it’s nice to roll in just a little of the bridge pickup.
I love Stingrays & Jazz Basses but I gotta give it to the Precision bass on this one!
In this example I think the PJ worked best. They allhave their uses though.

As i thought they all have a different tone etc so it depends on the music your playing although we will all favour different bass's for whatever music genre were playing….they all have their place
, i have some of these bass's & change my bass to what i think goes for the song…i luv my ebony fretboard Fender Jaguar PJ if i can only take 1 bass to play…
Toss up between the j and the pj for this song in particular. I think the pj was best though. Thump and bite is a killer combo

PJ eliminates the weakness of the P (no bridge pickup) and the J (J in the neck is underwhelming).
The MM Stingray pickup was way louder in the mids than I expected. I thought it would be more scooped.
Looking for a 2 MM 5 string. Kind of hard to find that isn't expensive. An old Schecter of mine is this way with passive EMG MM5s in it.
I've had them all..but I always go w the stingray..just comfortable and a pleasure to play..I now own 3 stingrays
