Wrong. You start on fret 12 string 6 (lowest pitch string) and work down from there. Using the 5th string is unnecessary. (If you need proof look at videos of them playing it live). ALSO, THERE ARE THESE THINGS CALLED HAVING MORE THAN ONE FINGER AND USING THEM

Ok so the official master of puppets tab book (I have it) has the tabs written like this with a couple of the notes being played on the A string. The easier was is the bottom strings however this method works and I can see where he got the tabs from
