Schroeder all the way!!! I have a 1215PL and a 812PL
Accugroove sounded the warmest but not as transparent. I liked the Epifani in this demo, sounded less colored and more transparent to my ears.
Accugroove all the way!!!
Epiphani and accugroove same
11coopbass, you are wrong. The power handling rating is not important with regards to sound quality. The problem with this video is that you are not hearing the real sound. It is majorly colored by the video mic, especially since it is moving around. This video serves no real purpose.
Wattage shouldn't matter much for tone.
Wattage is your key here, I think. It's not fair to the consumer, nor the company who made these cabinets. Like for instance, GK, SWR, EDEN. all make a 2×10 bass cabinet. Use the same wattage throughout the bass cabinets and you will hear what cabinet suites your ear. Do you see how I word this paragraph? I didn't say, USE THE SAME WATTAGE THROUGHOUT THE BASS CABINETS AND YOU WILL HEAR WHAT CABINET IS MOST CLEAR. You follow me? Everyone hears something different.

But… if it is the same 800 watt amp playing through all 3 speakers, why isn't that a valid comparison? Personally I think the Epiphanis might sound better.
I know this has been a long time ago. The "ACCUGROOVE" sound better. The real problem with this video is, all of the cabinet are not the same wattage. So you won't get an accurate test. Find all cabinets with the same wattage. If it's gonna be 2×10's at 600 watts, make all of them 600 watts. Ok?
thank you,
