HERITAGE GUITARS FINALLY DID IT…

Guitars of the Day! Ever since Heritage streamlined their lineup a few years ago, I’ve been DYING for them to bring back their “Tuxedo” H-157… and they finally have. Made at the same historic 225 Parsons and with the same tools “golden age” Gibsons were, my H-150s are incredible guitars… but ebony beats rosewood every time!

  • I am a single cut fanatic, too. I have a lot of them, my favorites being my Gibsons, Eastmans, and a Heritage H-150 Standard. I will say, though, that I wish Heritage would either come up with a better looking headstock (although from a functionality standpoint it makes sense) or at least make the logo on the Standard models look like the Custom Core models. It looks so much nicer to just have Heritage with a nice little inlaid design (not sure what the pattern is called) vs. just The Heritage and no inlay. It is boring as heck to look at. Great guitar, though.

  • Naff headstock i'm sorry …
I know there must be copyrights pending on headstock shape but being a premium item they could have done a better job really

  • As a native Kalamazooian I can confirm that we still hold tightly to the fact that Gibson was here years ago (not much going on for us). Heritage guitars are the embodiment of everything classic Gibson stood for. Now if only they didn't have those headstocks.

  • Hunter, would you say that the Heritage stays in tune better than the Gibson? Does it still have the infamous G string woes?

  • Yo, young sprout! 71yo guitar player here! My main axe these daza is my Hondo V! What can You, info me about my guitar? ????. Good luck. Peace.

  • Wished they included aged vintage white that’s probably the best look for a Les Paul custom style guitar

  • i just can’t do it. i’m a headstock snob and i cannot believe they landed and stuck with that design. it is truly one of the worst 3+3 headstock designs i’ve ever seen. I want to love this brand so much but i just can’t get behind the HS.

  • Heritage had got to be the most disappointing guitar maker out there. These guitars are so good it's crazy and unlike Gibson the fretwork is always perfect, but! They only make that fat 50's neck. C'mon Heritage, give us a 60's, slim taper or good access at the neck. I'll buy the first one.

  • H157 with the flame is gorgeous. Normally i love that black beauty look a bit more generally, but that deeper cherry fade on this one is looking the tits. I dig it!

  • We dont have any gibson dealer in my city but in like every music shop in here there is at least one heritage guitar – there is also one where there are like 30 of them. So if I wanna try gibson, heritage are the closest i can do. Very classy, great guitars from most of the lineups, some of them were better than my friends gibson les paul, which is surprising. They deserve much more love and recognition!

  • Just adding the black parts and gold hardware to a cherry sunburst top gives it a whole other vibe and I love it so much

  • My Heritage H-150 has been my main guitar for two decades. Many guitars have come and gone, plenty are still in the stables, but Heritage Les Pauls are where its at.

  • Those new P90 models with the belly cut and contoured heel joints for $500 are SERIOUSLY tempting

  • I have a custom core h150 that’s an amazing guitar. I bought it used for a great price and easily keeps up with my 68 LPC RI and my R8 in terms of quality and playability. It filled whatever longing I had for an R9 or R0. I’d say the real value for heritage is on the used market, for those prices they can’t be beat.
