And that’s why this Amp ROCKS!
In this Video I’m checking out the Orange Super Crush 100 Head. a 100 watt transistor Amplifier from Orange.
I have it hooked up to a Harley Benton 1×12 Cab with Celstion V30 speaker.
I’m also using The Boss DD-8 Digital Delay the Boss Harmonist PS-6 and the Warm Audio Chorus in the FX Loop.
Behringer Centaur Overdrive and EHX Cock Fight are in front of the Amplifier.

I highly recommend using the Super Crush 100 and the Crush 35RT as a dry/wet or parallel distortion blend via an ABY. In particular, Swedish metal chainsaw using an Eyemaster boosting through the 35RT and a more traditional OD boosted tone through the Super 100 would probably sound amazing, and the footprint of the setup as you have it there would be super convenient – 1×12 cab, head, 1×10 combo, pedalboard, done in two trips, one if you have a dolly cart or put removable castor wheels on the 1×12.
The dirty channel can be used as a single channel amp, and the clean channel makes a great pedal platform. I also own one. The cab sim isn't very good, but it will enhance an IR or proper cab sim as opposed to getting weird. You can absolutely run the XLR out into an interface and into a NAM profile of an EL34 power amp with an IR on it, but if you run a pedal with a cab sim on it (like a Tech21 Oxford or Joyo Oxford Sound) into the clean channel the layered sub-par cab sims become perfectly serviceable together, while not mucking up the sound in the room… not like I would know from experience (okay, I lied – I totally own a Joyo Oxford Sound and a Super Crush, as well as some Stage Right clones of the Mooer MicroDI, and I have tested all of these).
Not gonna lie, I put a Behringer BDI-21 in the FX loop, and turn the blend almost all the way to passthrough, and ride the gain pretty high, and the added EQ really helps with making it sound more modern and "hi-fi" and on the clean channel just thickens up the sound a bit. The extra volume knob also helps tame it down for bedroom practice levels, and turning the blend level more towards the pedal preamp's sound makes this amp a great bi-amp solution for bass, regardless of whether you play clean or distorted. I have a 1×15 bass cab and playing it like that with a bass using a DI box to record a clean signal for parallel processing to reamp with a traditional bass amp or a plugin sounds a lot better than it has any right to sound, especially in my hands.
Awesome Demo , Orange amps ( Gain) sounds are perfectly adjustable by only using the Guitar tone-Volume knobs too !
Best analog amp around, and very versatile…does stoner doom, classic rock, metal, capable of it all…add a boost type pedal and EQ pedal for more versatility…if you cant dial in a good tone, then you just dont like Orange amps
I am an Orange amp man. I have a Rockerverb 50 mkiii combo. Wow! What an amp, what a sound!
nice to hear a little 'knot in the demo section
I like how the dirty channel cleaned up pretty well. I was surprised how crazy the Reverb sounded. Sounds like a pretty heavy amp.
Good work on this video. I like how you use the looper to show us the frequencies of the knobs.
Good work. See you in the next one.
Good content, hope one day I have the opportunity to buy one brand new. Orange PPC 212V and a Crush 100, that's my dream gear.
I've had my Super Crush 100 for going on 2 years now and still love it. I've got mine pushing a homebrew 2×12 cab made from reclaiming the cab from a Vox modeling amp with a bad motherboard and EHX 12" speakers. The clean channel is where I live 90% of the time, it's an amazing pedal platform.
