I am an owner of the Joyo BSK-40. It is a useful device, but it could be much better with some design improvements and a re-issue. For starters the case is way over-sized. You have at least 4" of a sloppy fitting cas front to back. They have tried to cover for this mistake with a removable, loose fitting closed foam insert. The insert falls apart with use and the added depth of the carry bag makes a compact amp bulky and uncomfortable to hand transport any length of time. As for the unit itself, there is no footswitch jack to give you performance control of the rhythm kit selections, and most important stop and start. As for the microphone channel, you have no mid control, only bass and treble. On the amp itself, you do not have any rubber feet, just the tacking of thin rubber strips to prevent the tolex covering from scraping the ground. In summary a bulky pain to transport in oversized case; no useful performance control of the rhythm section with a foot jack; no mid eq on vocal channel, and substandard, cheap rubber strips elevating amp from the floor. Fix these things and it will be more of a delight to perform with.

  • Thanks for the review and best wishes for 2025. Can this amp be plugged on normal DC when the battery is off (I hope yes) ? Can we play on it during the charge (I guess no) ? Has enough bass response ?
