TC Electronic BodyRez Acoustic Pickup Enhancer Pedal Review by Sweetwater
If you gig out with an acoustic-electric guitar, check out the TC Electronic BodyRez pedal! It’s a pickup-enhancement pedal for acoustic-electric guitar that helps overcome the quacky, plastic-y sound of some piezo pickup systems. It uses a combination of filtering and compression to bring out the warmth and resonance of your guitar’s natural tone. After the video, click the link below for all the details on the TC Electronic BodyRez!

Curious what this would do for a piezo pickup on a semi-hollow guitar (Godin)
I have had this on my acoustic board for a while – I don’t think this video captures just how great of an addition it is. Even if you have a modestly priced guitar it really boosts the richness and resonance of your guitar. You will love it!
I can hear reverb. Isn't it supposed to be totally dry
that's probably the best case scenario for this pedal. that piezo sounds baaaaad
Hi Don, Does this also work as a boost? I have a LR Baggs anthem SL in my Martin but it’s extremely low output. Thank you
Does this actually do anything that very simple EQing and compression couldn’t?
Hi Don, I have a problem with my Bodyrez pedal… I'm hoping you could help me by figuring out what could be the problem so that I can try and tackle it!
My Bodyrez pedal occasionally goes on and off continuously on its own… the red power light goes on and off constantly when this happens. While it does this my signal has this irritating clicking sound.
Most often, there isn't an issue… this throws me off, because I figured that if there is an issue with the pedal it should happen all the time!
My pedal is connected to an isolated power supply by Donner… and I have an LR Baggs, a Boss DD7, a TC Hall of Fame reverb and a Boss RC30 looper connected to the same isolated power supply… nothing happens to the other pedals when the Bodyrez blinks on and off and creates this clicking sound.
When this happens, I detach the power supply to the Bodyrez but I leave the input and output cables connected and the signal flows through without a problem, but obviously without the Bodyrez magic.
Please help!
is good also for clasic guitar?
how about guitar with plastic strings?
In what order would I put this on the pedal board, before the Modulation pedals?
Anyone have an idea if this would enhance the sound from a solid body electric with a piezo? I have a parker that sounds ok on the acoustic side but am wondering if I could improve it any. Cheers
I bought this today. love it.
I wonder how does it sound on a bass
Scoops the mids out and adds some compression. Great for solo artists in a live scenario or when recording where the guitar's mids conflict with the vocals.
for passive piezo can notice the differences?
for the price i choose zoom A3
I want to know how its Works with a low Budget guitar , aprox 300 -400 USD..not fender , Gibson takemine ,PRS
Great demo, guys! 🙂
ok its a great pedal..but i want to know how its sounds with a low Budget guitar you used a Gibson but the people that can´t affort a Gibson or martin..
Got one. Absolutely LOVE it!
I wonder if this would sound good with my solid body piezo'ed uke. Sounds great with the hollow body.
