  • Finally, a tutorial that actually does things right. Setting the gain to 0 is something that, until recently, all companies didn't say. They all said you had to turn up the volume knob until it was clipped, then turn it back a bit, which made the Ampsims not sound as they should. Well done, Universal Audio.

  • Release the DSP versions and if the DSP isn't powerful enough to run these, why didn't y'all upgrade the chips for Gen 2?

  • Wait, I just ordered an $1800 Apollo X2 Quad and the UAD Amp Bundle because I didn't want to spend $3K+ on a new MacBook Pro. I asked the UA Support bot about it specifically and it told me they run on the DSP and now after spending this crazy money I find out otherwise. It was the whole point of investing in your Apollo and amp bundle. I just got it today and haven't even opened the box yet. It might all be going back.

  • Thanks for the instructions, this weekend I was playing around and it never occurred to me that the gain should be at 0 and that it was the amp that was turning up the volume

  • So you’re telling me I’m supposed to have my interface input on zero, and then control it with the volume knob on the amp?

No wonder why any volume setting past 1 on the dream 65 sounds like heavy metal. I will try this and give an update

  • I'd really love to try something of UA but ur UA Connect software doesnt work for Mac… reinstalled 3 times, i don't know how to do it, and i'm not alone in that problem. When u'll fix it we can try some plugins.

  • Many of these comments just let me know y'all are new to recording. A buffer size of 64 or 32 is NOT that bad. You'll barely notice the latency. Secondly, if you own a guitar without an amp, you might want to hire someone else to play if the fact of not having unison enable guitar amp sim plugins makes you upset ???? stop rushing to the comments to complain.

  • make it UAD2 or at list stand alone please I don t understand your way of thinking

  • Mind boggling that there aren’t Unison versions of these. Why did I spend thousands of dollars for this capability if it’s no longer going to be utilized?

  • i did all that. with the input a 0. the signal is very low does not cut through a band mix with drums and other instruments.

  • Booo! Waited so long for this, only to realize a native only version. One word: Latency.

  • Why wouldn't these plugs be UAD-2, Unison enabled… thats what I would be excited about, still cool that UAD is making some Amp sims finally but I mean no unison sucks
