  • If you can get your hands on one I recommend the Supreme by JHS, on the Super Fuzz. With the tone button in and the expand set for around 70% there is nothing like it. Really thick , lots of attack when played with a pick.

  • Bassist here i got a swollen pickle and love it stacked with a pigtronics resotron following filter to boost the high mids. It is gnarly and nasty !

  • Fuzz is so personal a tone and all basses take it differently. I found an MXR Distortion+ that was perfect for me.

  • Harsh fuzz is one thing but I've yet to find a good warm fuzz without messing with parallel processing to EQ the fuzz.

  • Your demos and videos are always the first I go to because I can guarantee it won't be ruined by some horrible, not at all musical slap that sounds like a filing cabinet falling down a fire escape. Why do people do that?
If I see a thumb over a string in the thumbnail I will never watch that video.
I love a bit of fuzz though. My Orange Fur Coat is my favourite, it's just nasty.

  • Cool video, Patrick. Personally I’m more into warm overdrives and heavy distortions, however the only fuzzes I liked are fuzzes that sounded like high-gained distortion pedals like the ehx big muff pi and the analog man peppermint fuzz. Even the fuzz channel on my source audio aftershock has that kind of sound. Especially since you can edit new drives on the pedal courtesy of the neural app.

  • love fuzz on bass. I personally love the way huge: pork and pickle pedal. it's a distortion and fuzz at the flip of a mini toggle. sounds great on my ibanez sr405 eqm but sounds even better on my schecter stiletto stealth black 4 string.

  • I wasn’t sure what kind of fuzz/distortion I wanted, so I got a TC Spectradrive so I could play with a few via TonePrints. The “Biff Mug” is nice.

  • If you're ever in the market for (another) fuzz (I always am) wren and cuff has some of the coolest sounding fuzz pedals. I've got a pickle pie B on my board right now and it kills it at getting those early Muse tones
