  • One call tell: Charlie mastered the DEEP understanding for the links, combinations etc.! As a NEWBIE/Rookie it does make sense to me, what has been shown. But UNFORTUNATELY though I am not this far yet ;-(

  • Mixing the major and minor is a big door opener. Doing it tastefully is a lifetime gig, thats where these arpeggios keep the door open. Cheers from County Devon, England.

  • Wow!! This lesson just threw open the door for me, thank you Charlie very much appreciated ????????

  • This lesson was a real eye (ear) opener ???? I've spent a decent amount of time studying arpeggios but have felt stuck on how to make music with them. ???? ???????? ????

  • Biggest unresolved question after this is the chicken and waffles. Buffalo wings and blue cheese dip maybe. But I like food analogies, so, nice one!

  • This is a door opener for me! Thank you very much. Since many years I try to work on blues scales. To follow the obvious consequently brings unexpected results.
Thank you so very much. I'll have to work on this and see what happens.

  • I'm not a blues guy, but the way you show how to mix it up, looks so good. Just added a hour more to the instrument pr. day????

  • I can understand the blues and guitar, chocolate and peanut butter going together,
but fried chicken and waffles? that is like playing outside, way outside,

  • Charlie, ya lost me, early on!
    lol
I'm all for jazzin' up some Blues, but you're makin it complicated!
    Too much thinkin' involved.
Still, I'll try to hang on and see it through with ya.
At around 5:00 it would've been helpful if you had a solid A7 chord playing to play those other chords over.
Ok, i got to the end.
    Yeah, it sounds great.
But see, i don't have that problem that it seems so many have, where my "solos all sound the same," or sound like crap.
That's cuz what i do is make up riffs, melodies and arpeggios that sound good.
But, i just don't worry about "where they come from."
I do know a lot of theory, but sometimes i just like playing, not analyzing.
I guess it's good to know this stuff, but for me, it's just…
    too much thankin'.

  • One of the best explained Blues lessons ever! Once you know your four arpeggios in the three keys you will sound like you always wanted to. And it's not Rocket Science! Thank you, Charlie Long!

  • Sir, this lesson is by far the best i have ever seen about using arpeggios in the blues .
You actually hit every note of mixolydian without playing the boring and predictable linear scale
Arpeggios are such a fantastic tool.
Next step is using this concept in the minor blues ????
    I subscribe. Great teacher ! ❤????????
