  • Not many nail the way Blues plays an integral part in Jazz and thats why i think this is essential.

  • In the same line as Tele players Ted Greene or Ed Bickert but funkier than both.
I really like Davids very natural presentation unlike the usual in-your-face guitar ''wanker '' egotists. Very few on here like that.
Easy to follow and wonderfully explained. Thank you David.

  • I can't refrain from commenting on this video series. This is about the most useful kinda guitar lessons I've encountered for those interested in learning this style of playing. You can play outside standardized pentatonic riffery yet still find a way to reference back to them once you get the jist of other melodic options. Awesome!

  • @jathom30 I love it. You have to work with it to dry it out enough for more swing-style four-to-the-bar comping, but I'm so much more comfortable playing it than any other electric that I just find ways to make it do what I need it to. And, like they figured out sixty years ago, it doesn't feed back!

  • @tortex42 It's a '98 Mexican Tele that came stock with the humbucker in the neck position. It works great on just about everything 🙂

  • How do like your tele for jazz? Does it fatten up enough for you, hard to tell from the videos.
    Good stuff regardless.
