What other inexpensive yet awesome pedals am I missing out on?????
Cheaper labor,,,,,,,hmmm, how cheap is that labor ?
thx for the review and demo! i'm buying a Squier Sonic Bronco as my first bass guitar so i can splurge on future mods, amp and few pedals so you bet i'm gonna buy this lol. i always liked Behringer products, very accessible for budding musicians (i have the UMC204HD + Behringer C2 mics to record my drumkit).
I bought the whole trio. BDI21, GDI21, ADI21. All three are great preamp/direct boxes. They're way better sounding than they should be for the money
does it work as well on a regular guitar, even if it doesn't have an amp of it's own? I need to use it as a preamp for several different acoustic instruments, and am torn between he cheaper version, or this one that works with a bass, which I also play.
Just get a second hand Sansamp. It sounds better, it looks a lot better, it should last longer.
The Behringer enclosure is so hideous- that color and the silver oval around the footswitch- giving me bad early 2000s design vibes.
What the hell are you doing to a pedal that would actually require you to need a steel body?! I say by the tool that works. I use this pedal as a permanent part of my board. Just works. I just have a cheap compressor and zoom multi fx feeding into it. Works great!
How many hours does a 9 v battery run it?
I checked the circuit diagram of Behringer BDI21 and SansAmp v1.
They are pretty much identical.
Why do we heap praise on players who copy great musicians note for note, but we have disdain for equipment builders who copy a great circuit?
Can you play this directly to the mixer board ?
Can I use the acoustic ADI 21 for bass ? ( I need the mid control)
Good for practice not bad
I’ve got the behringer bass v amp which is shaped like a guitar body , its old and I bought it second hand when I picked up my first bass about 6 months ago and I can honestly say I was pleasantly surprised with how much I liked it
I bought a behringer pedal for my guitar rig and used it regularly for 6 months without any problems. Then the on/off switch began to work intermittently and became noisy. I believe it is because behringer uses sub-par parts for their cheap builds. I won't buy another behringer pedal.
Use it at my home studio. Not throwing my gear around – pedals, amps anyway. Great review az usual, thank you.
I'm i guitar player since early 90's and started playing bass recently. Being new to bass world I was looking for a cheap pre amp pedal to plug my bass direct to mixer in studio (we have 1800w rms on the mixer using 7 different speakers from active to passive, from 10 inch to 2×15 inch and from usa Makie to old school passive Community usa speakers).
Also, for a live setup, I'm planning on using two 15 inch big cab monitors with a P.A. Amp and a 2×15 band EQ!
That being said, this video really help me decide to really go for this pedal.
As from it's durability because of the plastic Housing and switch, it's actually not a real problem for me because i I'll always leave it on all the time. It's basically my main pre amp and I've done my sound on it and that's it! The only thing i will actually change is hat i have my gain set to minimum to play in rock cover band, and I set it to 9 o'clock to play in a metal band.
Been using this pedal for the last 2 months and I'm very happy with it. It sounds great with my Frankenstein rig setup haha ???? . I bought it used and i also bought a used Boss Bass Chorus and Sans Amp bass compressor for a good price. Most of my guy tar pedals work well on bass except for the wah obviously, and the Decimator that's not needed. Delay i don't need also but Volume Boost, Bad Monkey overdrive and Zack Wyld phaser work great with bass.
I have both. They both sound good. Sansamp sounds better and is obviously better built. But it doesn't sound $150 better. A shop near me had one recently used for $100. At that price. I'd buy the sansamp. But anything over $150 I'd think twice. All depends on what you need.
I've always wondered why these don't have a mid knob.
I thought the distortion sounded cool. Im getting this, with my Wine Cellar (another sansamp clone) I find it's easy to get around the flutter/harshness by keeping the bass/treble at or below noon and having the presence and volume higher.
I have a few (expensive) bass pre amp di’s and I must admit my favourite is the Eden WT but,a big but,the Behringer was my first bass preamp is always there in my gig bag as b/u it is that good. And cheap.Yes I had to by another one because the first one died. But isn’t that like everything these days.Anyway for $45 (aus) for 10+ years whose complaining.
I bought six of these for the price of one Sans. When one shits I chuck it, on to number two. It'll take many years to get through six of'em
Cheap pedals sound alright – sometimes. The quality is where they get you. You get what you pay for.
Pliz review mxr fullbore metal on bass
can emulate samsanp tech 21 geedy Lee?
cool Demo! can I use this pedal for an upright bass? thank you
You kinda skimmed over the function of the blend knob. What does it blend?
