This lesson is Gold. Thank you!
Nice. I just found this channel and subscribed. 8 bar blues is a fav of mine. It would be good to see a post on the 8 bar blues starting on the IV chord (Midnight Special). I noted the 'extra' notes half steps that you added to the progression. It might interesting to compare and contrast the difference in energy of the half step or V-I move with the whole step IV-I moves.

You are absolutely greate teacher and bassist.
greate lesson :))))
This as a very timely lesson. I’m currently jamming up a Johnny Winters set with some friends, and though I’ve listened to a lot of blues this is my first time playing them. As always, you explain everything clearly and make it easy to play. Thank you!
Simple great grooove ! Sound fantastik ! ????????????
Very well explained! You are a great bass educator Ryan!
Thanks for this well explained lesson.
Once again, an absolutely wonderful lesson. Thanks!
Story I read/heard was that someone else (Sam the Sham) was recording the tune in another studio and Clapton and Allman heard it. Went back to their studio and just starting jamming to it. Engineer hit record and the rest is history. The recording fades in because they were already playing when the recording started. Great story of a great version. Check out Sonny Landreth's killer slide version. Great to play along with. Thanks Ryan!
Love that tone!
Not sure why but video goes a little blurry at approx 5:53
Or is it just me?
But great lesson!
Great choice of song. Well done.
Cool lesson and song! ????
