Considering your previous advice regarding the use of the Hegel h 190 with the Quad Revela 1 was very useful, do you think that the Rega Brio MK7 would be a better match than the Audiolab 6000 Mk2 with the Revela 1?
Hello, excellent review. What wiring are you using with the Brio MK7 and your Dali Menuet?
Hello Tarun, how would the combination Brio play with Neat Petite Classics. Nice Day
Is this new Rega better than the IO?. Good video.
Can you test the Triangle Bro4 Would be interested in your thoughtful thoughts:)
I really want to love the mission 778x as I do for its compactness and its looks and in South Africa a third cheaper than a Brio mk6. But alas im so tired of clinical or dry sounding amps I really really need a sweet sound. Heck a shoe box size amp must sound sweet thats my requirement. As for Brio the price is getting out of hand once converted to Rands….old Nad 3020..back to childhood?
Thank you for this Video.
I propose the BC Acoustique EX-234 for one of the next videos. I think it would be nice to have a comparison to the Rega Brio mk7.
Thank you, i use external dac.
I would like you to review some of the heed amps, thanks for this review of the brio
How to cooperate, we have a product that we believe you will like, look forward to your reply!
No subwoofer out? Ouch.
I continue to fail to understand all this hand wringing about speaker size. Bookshelves need stands, takes up no more space then floor standers. +2” more width on bookshelf type speakers? What’s the difference? I’ve been in this hobby for a long time and I’ve yet to grasp this sensitivity around speakers that effectively take up the same footprint. Is it just me?!
Thanks Tarun, another amazing video. Can you please make a video on full frequency range speakers from 20hz to 20khz please.
Thanks for this review, Tarun, really getting to like Rega. Would love for you to review their very interesting Rega Aya as well, with their concrete – glass-fiber composite material. Also hoping for a reviewer with some authority to check out the new Ruark Sabre-R's for us, Ruark's first foray into passive speakers in many years, wink, wink! ????
The Brio mk7 is rates 50W@8ohm and 72W@6ohm. However, in Rega site and in the online manual, the amp power rating is quoted at 8ohm AND 4ohm.
Sorry Tarun love your reviews. Couldn't help to hear you say you have the Audiolab 6000a MK2 . When will the review be done. I'm hanging back to buy one.
I've decided to go back to separates from Evo 150
Eversolo 6 Master Edition with the Audiolab 6000a mk2
Thanks Tarun! ???????? Another top review! Rega is one of my favourite brands. The inclusion of the DAC is good for market segment positioning. I am sure this very capable halfling from Essex-shire will sell very, very well…
Rega make some of the best amplifiers I’ve heard! Ok I’m biased as I have an Atheos ????
Brilliant review!
I'd' love to see the Rega Apollo CD player return.
would love to see Michell re release the Alecto.
Love the looks and sound of Rega products, but if they won't give a 4 ohm rating, this amp is likely Not good for 4 ohm speakers. Specially ones like mine that hit 3.2 at times.
Love the look of their products. I’ve always liked good 25 to 50 watt per channel amps
A great review as always Tarun, I really like Rega products and the new Brio looks great but a 160va toroidal is surprisingly low at this price point, the NAD 316 V2 at £299 has a 350va toroidal, that's not all that matters obviously but . . . . . .
Thanks for your review Tarun! soon they'll be available in all Central America!
The chassis looks identical to that rather lovely phono stage, Aria. Are the front and volume knob made of metal or plastic? Thanks
Thanks for the album recommendation! In love the bass guitar on this track too. Well recorded.
I think my biggest surprise was at last someone has hardwired the internal amplifier output to the rear speaker binding posts with cable. There are dozens of designs where the output stage is at the front, speakers at the back and it gets routed with thin copper track along the length of the design. Head-Desk-Thump. A PCB track is resistive, passes internal components and often is routed round screw fixings which bottle neck the track sometimes to a few mm in width (Cyrus MK1). It is also outside the feedback loop, so the losses in the track isn't compensated for either. Still 85C caps, SMD electrolytic and multiturn bias pots means it will hit the bin at some point. The cost of long life 105C rated caps isn't much more, and shouldn't be a killer at this price point. The spec says 200W max, which given the stated 160W transformer sounds incorrect. Spec also has "Continued high power into 6R or less can thermally shut the unit down" so Goldfrapp into 4R speakers may not be a good idea.

Love to see à new version of the Sugden A48 affordable and powerful Bass like no one
I want to see Marantz bring back the SA-15S1 unit as Network Streamer/DAC's sound specifically the CD portion which had a textured, crisp, clear, sweet and detailed sound with beautiful highs.
Looking forward to your review of AE300 mk2. I have had mine for a few days now and love it.
I would love to test this amp out with my Triangle BOREA BR03, easy to drive and sounds lovely with my Marantz PM-6006, but I've heard that REGA has more presence and better base control. Kudos to you Tarun, love your insights and technical breakdowns in your reviews. Have a great listening Sunday!
Tarun – Didn't catch the speakers used here. Your new reference?
