Bass Player Tips in Worship Music
*WORSHIP BAND TIP*
The bass player is foundational to your band. Most of the time, they create energy that is felt, not necessarily heard. However, when a bass player throws down an awesome fill, it can really add to the energy of the song.
Here is a great piece of advice from Ian Martin Allison that you can take into your next rehearsal and share with your bass player.
“The more fills you play, the less they mean. The lack of fills, makes the fill you choose to play, great.”

I'm confused God bless you and your family amen ????
God bless you and your family amen God bless all of my brothers and sisters amen thank you Lord amen ????
Otherwise don’t overdo it and attract attention from the congregation❗️
Same is true for drums. My dad had a saying that he thinks there's an inverse relationship between how complicated a part is musically and how powerful it sounds. 4 on the floor sounds powerful, don't underestimate just playing quarter notes. Less is more or something like that.
So True!
said no one ever. music for god should be so grand and glorious yet y’all choose to stick to 4 chords in Cmaj.
Jesus wants more fills.
