I’ve just got the MicroBass II myself. It’s literally just arrived so haven’t had a chance to play through it yet.
I already have the mxr vintage bass octave, which is literally designed on Janek Gwizdala’s original OC2. He learnt it to them to look at when they were designing and building the vintage bass octave, so it’s a wicked option for an octave pedal for any of you that can’t find an original Oc2.
Looking forward to recording some lines from this new MicroBass II.
I previously had a Sansamp that I had borrowed off a mate, but had to return it recently. I was going to purchase one, but it was always annoying how I couldn’t get my effects chain through the DI output. When I was searching available bass preamps, I stumbled upon this MicroBass II. Seeing how the effects loop can be put through the DI, I went for it and bought it immediately.
I hardly ever play through a bass amp anymore. Just go straight into my mixer or interface into Logic.
I’m not that good a bass player really, but if anyone’s interested in checking out my stuff, then search for ‘Nicely Formed Sonic Egg’ on YouTube &/or Soundcloud. I’m mostly producing Downtempo / Trip Hop type stuff, and there’s a couple live Dawless jams on the YouTube also.
I’m guna go any give this EBS Pedal a test run for a bit now.

I’m looking for a DI I can use my regular bass in one channel and my fretless in the other. Do you think it would work well for that?
