Love your teaching style, totally clear, note for note, right energy
The rest of that "I shot the sheriff" would be nice Mark
YOU MUST TAKE YOUR TIME IN NAMING OUT THE FRET AND THE NOTES THAT WE CAN UNDERSTAND BETTER OK
Correction-How is it Bob Marley bass riff-Bob Marley has nothing to do with the creation of those bass riffs. These bass lines are entirely those of the bass player Aston Family Man Barrett.
RIP Family Man
Reggae music is the best
Mr. Mark. I like, how seriously you send lessons and tell all details of the lessons, that's great.
Nice feeling!!
Very practical lesson. I always wanted to learn how to play reggae on a base guitar.
very good
Wow amazing. Definitely subscribing to your channel
Thanks a lot for the lesson!! You're a great teacher!
Loved that you dedicated a whole section (the final one) to the actual feel of playing reggae. That was the icing on the cake, great lesson, thank you mon.
Great lesson, man Aston Barrett (bassist for Bob Marley and the Wailers) was a great bassist and it's cool to see him get some more recognition. It'd be cool to see a lesson for Roger Waters, John Entwistle or Les Claypool
I can hardly hear the guitar. Need more volume
Aston "Familyman" Barrett, Bob's musical director and creator of all these bass lines. Nuff respect!
Some other great classic bass lines are
Guess Who’s Coming To Dinner – Black Uhuru
Wild Goose Chase – Steel Pulse
World A Music – Ini Kamoze
Buffalo Soldier – Bob Marley
Slice Of Cake – Sugar Minott
Its sad to say you was,nt even born yet when these songs came out… but i still love it!!
Awesome !! Trying to write this song in a DAC and your basslines are perfect !! Thanks for sharing
Thanks Mr Mark !!!!!!!
Hey from Dublin. This is an absolutely brilliant lesson. I’ve always had a yearning to learn a reggae Bass Line and now thanks to you I will try Three Little Birds. Many thanks. Niall
Punk reggae party also great
As always, you break it down simply and get straight to the point. I appreciate this 'cause I'm old and I don't have time to waste on BS or wanker-y.
Please do led zepplin (john paul jones)
So, I play in a band and there is this one bass riff with lots of tapping, how can I improve my finger strength, velocity and precision?

Great lesson, Mark! You make it sound so easy but it’ll take me a while the the feel right. It always fascinates me how simple these reggae bass lines are, yet so catchy. It’s all about the groove & feel. Keep up the great work!
