Thanks for making this series available again. I love these lessons.
Thanks. I will try this very soon.
The Mister Rogers of bass – and I mean that as the absolute highest possible complement. Rest in peace.
"300 is not a lot"! Yep, that was me. I sure miss Jim.
That's so true about playing something 300 times isn't enough. Especially in the beginning. It can take awhile to really start to hear subtle differences in things. You don't play something until you don't make a mistake, you play it until you can't make a mistake. I live by that
I've just discovered this guy and absolutely love him. Makes learning more fun than anyone else I've come across. I'm sorry to hear of his passing.
great lesson again, thank you…can you please recommend me some drum machine for PC…user friendly please….
I really like your videos. Great teaching.
Great lesson!
Thank you, Mr. Stinnett. The arpeggios, connected in jazz, is fun to play, and as always, well explained
Great stuff, I've tried to go with Talking Bass with Mark Smith and he's enjoyable to learn from but the accent is a bit heavy. I can understand your lessons more.
I’ve been really enjoying your lessons. How about something in Paul Chambers style.
I love your teaching style so I subbed. Good stuff Sir.
Online lessons? how to contact?
Thank you. I'm smiling while playing.
Thank you, great lesson.
I never see people using that finger rest on the lower part of the bass (below the g string, near the neck). It would be neat to see how it's supposed to be used. Thanks for your lessons. You seem like a happy person who loves what he does. God bless.
You sir, aside from Jeff Berlin, are the ONLY internet bass teacher that actually teaches. Everyone else shows off their abilities and calls it a lesson. Every time I listen to you I learn something useful about music. Thank you for choosing to teach us.
Your channel has solely gotten me back into the bass guitar. Ordered one of your funk books cannot wait to go through it.
ouaw!!! thank you a looooot!!!
You are an excellent teacher. I started playing in 1971 . Had a 69 P bass, and later a 75 P bass. Then in the 90's I made 4 of my own bass guitars, and 3 years ago I made 2 stick upright basses.Your teaching has opened up a new world to me as a bassist. when you teach upright I use my stick basses. when you teach guitar bass I use my customs.
Great stuff I wish I had time to learn every lesson…
Thank you, that was awesome.
Dig the sweatshirt!
Beautiful bass, great playing, great lesson!, thank you!. Sub’d. Now I want a P bass..????
Thanks for these. I recently picked up my bass again after so many years of frustration. I hear about arpeggios – minors – majors and all that crap. Pentatonic and all these fancy words. Man, i just don't get it. I just play. I still cant understand all this jargon and theory nonsense.
Great
Thanks!
Wow my new favorite bass channel, found you through Charles Berthoud, and found him through davie504!
