Music Theory For Bass Guitar – Intervals Part 2
This is the 2nd lesson covering the most basic building blocks of music and music theory: Intervals. This part covers the other intervals: minor, augmented and diminished. It also covers the concept of enharmonic equivalency . . . .”The What?!” . . . Yup, that’s right…. Enharmonic equivalency. Bet you can’t wait.

So the diminished seventh is the same as the major sixth, right?
why is the minor interval go C to Db and not C to C#? Sorry, Im new to theory and just trying to understand better. I was under the impression that going up is sharp and going down is flat
Hey mark kinda late but would a augmented third just be the same as a perfect 4th
Hey Hi .
I have used and benefited from many of your tutorials , thank you.
PLEASE ADVISE , I play the bass guitar but have moved onto the Double Bass and have become lost in the world of Arco ( sounds like I am strangling a cow.)
I have a music theory question that I just cant seem to work out , cant tell you how many hours I've spent trying to crack this code.
There are NO double bass teachers in my town or even in a town nearby so I have no one I can bug my side of the map.
If you don't mind I have a question I'd like to ask you regarding music theory but only if that's OK with you.
Cheers.
Gavin Alexander
Mark, the way you teach just resonates well with me, I always walk away w/somethinguseful & permanent – SBL doesn't, so I'm making the switch!
Thank you, GOD bless ????
How many times has he said interval
You are the best. I wish you success and happiness
great to know!
Hello sir
You are great
I like how he says don't worry this is a simple theory, then literally stumps me with his explanation
10 dislikes? Bitch ass niggas.
Does anyone have “ charts “ for this?!
Brain has fried…..
Very helpful video! Thank you! 🙂
Hey could you tell me possibly the intervals like where they are
hello mark
Hey man I really like your videos but this one was missing a staff with some notes showing the intervals on the screen. It seems that you were going on and on about the material but not really showing anything to visualize it.
I think it would be extremely helpful to add that to these videos
mark do you have a patreon or anyway i could donate? i've been watching your channel for about half an year and i think i should pay you back for all the knowledge you've given me. you're an excellent teacher and i've learnt a lot with your videos, thank you.

These are so great. Thank you 🙂
hi Mark! thank you so much for your lessons! 🙂
Im going to have to watch this one a few times!
are you sponsored by George?
Hi Mark, thank you for these lessons, I really appreciate them. Question: at 4:24 you say that augmented fourth and diminished fourth are the same interval… correct me if I am wrong, shouldn't it be diminished fifth?
Thank u for ur fast rply
Sir i have problem with 2nd intervals
The c major are-C D E F G A B
The c minor are-C D D# F G G# A#
U said that we have to drop all major intervals to get minor that is 2,3,6,7
If we drop down 2nd then the notes of c minor
I hope u are getting my point nd plzzz reply asap
Hi Sir!
I was looking for a long long time for somebody to explain me how all the theory works.
Thank you very much for putting that much effort to train strangers 🙂
