i remember 2 years ago you could get an eart with a 2 point trem for $300 bucks, i just clicked the link in the description and they want $840 wtf?
My side hustle is setting up guitars and doing minor repairs. It's amazing that almost every time I actually get a chance to play one of the cheap guitars that will kill Fender or Gibson, according to youtubers, that almost all every one has major issues. Common ones are fret sprout, unfinished fret work, not intonated, and not uncommonly not intonatable, cheap noisy pots who's splines are prone to break, and horrid pickups that sound like a cat scratching on a screen door. And never mentioned if if you are unhappy, good luck trying to sell it to get any money back towards something else. One other thing perplexing me..Fender owns Charvel and fender MIM and Charvel come out of the same facility in Ensanada. (remember the Hussong's cantina days?) But while I have seen some really bad examples in the fender player ii series recently, the Charvel stuff has in recent times been amazing in my opinion. Why is there this marked difference in quality control in the same facility?

I own two EART guitars – a tele and a headless – and I really like them a lot. But at this price point I'd take a PRS SE over this. Much more consistent, quality-wise.

Bro every demo, how can you review the same guitar twice and never show all the pickup positions?? How is this supposed to inform my buying decision. Just play 5 seconds of each pickup, its not that hard man.

While this guitar has killer specs and a killer sound for its pricepoint I would be curious to see what this thing sounds like with a Bare Knuckle pickups Blackhawk in the bridge and a Mule in the neck
I can't choose: a new SBS or add money to take this one? I understand they are quite different. Compound radius vs 20" flat, tremolo vs hardtail/Floyd. But what about fretwork? Are frets on EART worth x2 price?
Do the same specs on a fender strat style body with a pickguard, and that would be the guitar to beat for vintage enthusiasts!

My thoughts on floyed rose. I have the floyed rose special bridge on my jackson soloist. I upgraded it with titanium, all the screws and the string blocks. I use noiseless spring , EB 10s. Strings. It stays in tune, never have any issues with tuning.
Are you reviewing guitars sent to you by the company or ones that you purchased online? I ask because the big issue with made in China guitars is inconsistency from model to model. Some are great and some have cheese grater fret sprout and misaligned necks.

Ive got a TL-380 HH tele clone and I can't say there is anything about that isn't a tremendous value for the money..the neck is pretty sweet, and flawless tbh. The guitar is pretty light in Mahogany as well.
I like the pickups, it has a split of sorts and other than the volume dive, they work well.
I will say, I think the nut is cut a tad deep. When I restring it I will try some lube and see if the occasional ping on bends goes away.
If I have one critique on mine, it's the finish I chose. It's flawless but lackluster. The Mahogany doesn't seem to lend itself well to a burst. I'd definitely go with a solid body if I was to order a second Eart, which TBH I may get a traditional T style. For the money I don't see a better option. ????

2:08 my experience with classic Strat-style tremolos is that it is often not the tremolo bridge that causes the tuning instability but the string trees and the nut. Floyd-rose is more stable because it is paired with a locking nut which eliminates the issues of badly cut nuts or non-slipping string trees and not because the design of the bridge itself. So if you have a properly cut nut and good quality string trees (or a locking nut) then the 6 or 2-point tremolo still can be very stable.

Why can i not find out any where if the pickups are Alnico 5 or Ceramic? Are they the same pickups as in the T-380 or EYP-24? The info is very vague. Also this guitar is twice the price of a T-380.
the ibanez AZ, Suhr Modern Plus, Charvel DK 24, Corona Modern Plus, there should be a name for these kind of guitars, double humbucker, extra switch for more sounds, 24 frets, roasted maple neck, 2 point trem are the most common features,

$600+ for an Amazon guitar? Youre crazy dude, I can get a really nice Schecter for that price. The best Amazon guitar I bought was a Censtar tele-clone for $200, no longer listed for sale unfortunately. It is literally built better than Fender/Squire teles. Also I bought an awesome Les Paul clone from Pango for $260. You really need to check out Pango, they are known for their DIY kits, but they make some really fine new guitars.

I have never played a guitar with a full floating locking or nonlocking tremolo that stayed perfectly in tune. They would always go sharp or flat after using the tremolo. Even the tremolo stabilizers out there do not totally fix the issue. That is why I have always decked my tremolos for dive bomb only. It would be nice to have a full floating tremolo that stayed perfectly in tune.
I would put it out easily.What happens is I wont even use the thing like the gohto.If I can not trust it live I wont bother. I pull back too much for those type of trems.Way too aggressive but that's me.
OK, gotta mention this most people that have a five voice switch, yes mostly on a Strat like Guitar, but positions two and four are some of the favorites and some of the sweetest be like chime you can get out of those guitars. You should try it sometime there, buddy Positions two and four in betweenOne 3 and five.
