As a recording and performing musician, theres no better review than a testimonials after 20 solid years of being my sole acoustic guitar. I found elixir to be best. not bronze but phosphor were softer. this guitar has served me well, but I have branched out now to Martin and Taylor so far, video reviews pending.

  • Amazing video, thanks for sharing your love for Ovation guitars! For a few weeks, I had a used brown Adamas 1681 from 1983. It was such a DREAM to play. I have never ever played a guitar that had a warmer sound than this Adamas. Unfortunately, I had to return it, because it was too expensive for me to keep. Got bills to pay haha. Anyway, I appreciate your love for Ovation guitars, I think they are truly incredible instruments.

  • I have an Ovation 2000LTD edition Elite I bought in 2001 in Singapore. It has 300 year old, Russian Burl walnut soundboard, ebony fingerboard and, while I can strum a few chords but can't call myself a guitarist, I absolutely love that guitar. It is beautiful and sounds incredible and still in perfect condition (not a mark on it) with one exception: I can use the XLR connection and the Optima preamp works fine but it cuts out if I use the standard jack.

  • I have my ovation elite from 2001 or 2 matte grey, never bought another guitar just because of comfort and sound. Nothing sounds like it.

  • I found a hardly used Elite from the early 90s about 6 years ago.
A really great instrument in soundquality and immense acoustic power if needed.
Every now and then people ask me, if it has an amplifier integrated
    😉

  • My birthday guitar too brand new and my son has it now and it's the exact same thing as yours in a different color but the elite is an awesome guitar if you're absolutely right and I think the ones from Cayman are much better products than the ones being made today personally I've handled both and I've listened to both and I would take years over the new ones any day.
