Since we pioneered guitar amp & effects modeling in 2002, IK Multimedia has spent more time studying guitar and amp recording than possibly anyone else on the planet. Modeling over 400 pieces of gear has required tens of thousands of hours painstakingly measuring the interactions between instruments, pickups and amplifier circuits, not to mention the cooperation of the world’s most iconic guitar players, amplifier manufacturers, and engineers to learn how to create and capture great guitar tones.

AXE I/O brings all that experience to you. https://www.ikmultimedia.com/axeio

  • Considering all the equipment and software you get for the price… I'd say that's pretty damn good. Very fair.

  • I have spent quite a bit on interfaces and software, yet with my Gibson Studio can´t really achieve what I am looking for. It all sounds like arse. And I know somewhere in the signal chain something is "wrong" because now I tried with my Bass and the Ignite Bass vst plugin and it sounds very good, reiterate BECAUSE I lowered the volume of my bass to like half, and now sounds near perfect. Haven´t tried with my Gibson doing that, or tried Amplitube SVT 1 or 2 with my Bass, but… I wanted to ask: Will this interface solve "all" my problems? Guitar recording problems, that is, lol. I feel instruments (Guitars and basses) have been always constructed to be plugged into an amp, not an interface hence me not achieving but only shitty sounds. And I feel it's not the software EITHER, and my Gibson Studio sounds like heaven clean or amped… that's why I come to you dear IKMULTIMEDIA, because you seem to have finally come to a solution. Is this the solution I was/am looking for? Cheers.

  • Is this made by Focusrite or is it made by you? (By Focusrite I mean made by them or someone else and just repackaged and sold as if you made it?) I ask because I hate to death Focusrite. And I have a … Amplitube user's motivation to get it, but I need to confirm this. Help me pull the plug.

  • Interesting. Till now, recording a good DI track meant using an audio interface/preamp with a pretty good DI BOX ( Radial, Countryman, RNDI …) so, Could you tell this AXE i/o can reach the same quality without using any DI BOX? Guitar direct to the input? usually the Hi-Z on a interface is not the best option. Is This different?
