I started out as the veteran but after 2 months i made it my mission to be the leader’s bff when learning the songs for a particular Sunday service and it was magical.

Practices in the basement. Can’t firgureout what he’s supposed to play. Chord chart and recordings don’t help. Never tries out.
Very much 3, but not in a toxic way. I'm actually quite frugal in my gear spending, and when I can't figure out what to play, I'll usually just default to rhythm, layering, and ethereal. I love to experiment, but I'm not afraid to keep things simple if that's what needs to be done for everything to flow properly. But all jokes aside, stereo is pretty darn cool, but of course should not be used as a crutch and a "must have at all times no matter what" thing.

Honestly I’m a bit of a tone chaser, but to be fair we have a great wind instrument dude who I defer to for lots of solos (single note player) so I have to do ambient fills and rhythm. I practice more than all band members though.????
