Do you do online lessons through cam or anything?
As soon as you said half step tuning I SMASHED THE LIKE, SUBSCRIBE AND SAVED THIS VIDEO. You get it
Tx, finally someone explained what makes a progression "Lydian, etc". Just about the tonal centre.
This dude makes music theory not hurt my brain
What harmonic backing though? One doesn't just "play a mode", the backing makes the scale modal.
How would i play this scale if I'm in drop Db? The Db note is on the 5th fret A string. If i was in Eb tuning the Eb note would be on the 7th fret A string
Lamb of God ????
You should introduce the difference between scales and modes in this explanation. It would be very confusing without it, for years I've been confused what's the difference between C-dur and A-moll scales. Well, turns out they're different MODES or the same scale, and Phrygian is a MODE, not a scale…
Anyone know the first string profession for phrygian dominant for drop tuning?
Cool stuff. One thing not mentioned (and often not mentioned on other videos about the same subject) is what chords to play this over? Eg can you only play it over a V chord in a progression? Or can you play it over any chord in an Aflat progression?
