This is an ad. This is an ad for JHS pedals. You wanna sound like Cocteau Twins? Get a Roland JC-40. It has a line out in the back. JHS is trying to upsell you on a ABY switch that you don't need
Needs more flanger and less shimmer
toe, not too.
More shoegsze pleeeease
Now do The Cure
Make the 37 day video!! ????
Bluebell Knoll is the essential Cocteau Twins.
Or the Robin Guthrie song called Bordertown.
Bluebell Knoll is the essential Cocteau Twins.
‘When you’re on stage’ playing this tune. I wonder how many of the viewers will be on stage playing this tune. Out of pure curiosity though this was interesting. Cheers!
That was cool. )
"That's it, we've nailed the guitar tone … now all we need … ALL we need … is someone who sounds like Elizabeth Fraser."
This is amazing
Pedals should have no rules attached to them. Go where it sounds best for the song.
'COCK-TOE' Twins
The Sound of the Yamaha FX500 – Preset 31 – "Lush Strings" is quite close – albeit "Lush" is another story….
Belle is crushing your soul. Hilarious !
I would have guessed you were using an Eventide 9000. Sweet video !
????
I definetly prefer reverb before the delay and the amp sound ????
Bravo!!!
Shoutout to Arthur, gotta be one of my favorite shows growing up
hell yeah
I always thought the word Cocteau was pronounced Coc-toe, rather than Coc-too, which is how it's pronounced in this video…
I'm in tears, both for the nostalgia and for Nick's larks n' jollities.
✨????????????????????✨
Wen Jeff buckley
can you do david gilmore tone pls thru each decade (60s,70s,80s,90s) thx
Put the Strat in either the neck position or third position to get the correct tone.
Most of Robin Guthrie’s chorus sound was (according to him directly) was more the effect of two pitch shifts have high mix with a few cents up and a few cents down in the fine parameter. ????
Belle is mean but her band RULES! 🙂
Mischievous Nick is a vibe I can get behind.
Try mixing the effects in parallel too. The majority of 80s rack effects were done parallel and not serial.
