Solid state amp VS tube state amp – bass distortion
Comparision of the two amps that I’m using – tube state Carlsbro Top 50, solid state amp Acoustic 220.
Carlsbro amp has more high end, Acoustic is a bit darker, but the low-end is ‘faster’. The Carlsbro, as a tube amp, is way more ‘sensitive’, which makes it harder to play and sound well.

Fantastic work on the video! I absolutely agree that bass tube amps don't get enough credit. I recently made a video about my rare Italian amp, which is turning 50 this year. It has been in my collection for 4 years, and it never ceases to amaze me with its sound quality. It's so versatile and reliable when treated right. Transistor amps are great too, but they'll never really be my soft spot. Your video truly highlights how underappreciated these amps are. Well done!

Did you use the 4 low strings off a 4 string and tune them to bead? Or regular strings?

Tube variation has more room. Solid state has a smaller sound. I prefer the tube one
