Price is now @ $299USD + Shipping. A pretty good deal considering you don't have to put up with a smart ass, drunk, loud & obnoxious drummer. It will pay for it self pretty quickly.

Works off of midi files. You can edit them to any style or song you want with a midi editor lie Cubase or anything like that.. The midi triggers sampled drum sounds.
Got it today and really like it.I agree it shoud come with some additional styles ,' rock a billy' and "old school." But once i learn the deep editing of it all i should be able to tweek the rythmes they offer to my own liking and style. Ok back to the drawing board.Any help on knowing how to do this much appreciated.

For most people, I'd still suggest just getting some drum software instead.
Got this email from them today:
Hi Mike Daniels,
Thank you so much for pre-ordering a BeatBuddy. We know how excited you must be to soon be one of the first people in the world to play with such an amazing tool. Understanding your level of enthusiasm makes it harder for us to bear some disappointing news: The BeatBuddy shipments will be delayed by up to a month. Expected shipping is now in late October.
As you know, we were expecting to complete production and start shipping out by September 26. However, recently, the Chinese government has launched a wide-scale anti-corruption campaign targeting Chinese customs organizations. This has backed up many companies' shipments, including ours, and only a slow trickle of imports/exports have been getting through this bottleneck. One of those shipments caught in the bottleneck contained some vital components we needed to complete production.
We had hoped this would have squeezed through in time, and that the delay would be minor, but now it appears that it will only get through customs in time for the Chinese National Day which runs from October 1st through October 7th. So we will only be able to start the final stages of production on October 8th.
Production should be complete in mid-October and shipping should be completed in late October.
We’re very sorry for this delay, we know how frustrating it is. We’re having intense talks with the customs authority and our manufacturers to see if there’s any way we can speed the process up. But one thing we can tell you is this: based on the incredibly positive response from all of the people who’ve received the BeatBuddy from the first production run (you are part of the second production run), the wait is definitely going to be worth it.
We know how badly this delay makes us look. So to try to make it up to you and to thank you for your very generous patience, we’re going to create a brand new drum set exclusively for you guys. But we want it to be something you guys want — so we’re putting it up for a vote!

Has anybody out there actually received a beat buddy yet
At last a drummer that can count to "4" the same way every time and not speed up or slow down or whatever. What is 1000 drummers at the bottom of the ocean? A DAMN GOOD START!
Drummers aye. I completely disagree with anybody who write here anything negative about this product. If you don't think you need it, that's fine but you have no right to attack the product nor manufacturer. I can see myself using it all the time for a long time and I am sure millions of other buggers who are less fortunate to find a sober and reliable drummers. No product like this on the market and no other rhythm machine can be compared with this. If it is there something better there, I would buy it. However, I don't need/want anything better. I know how to programming my beats and fills and I can use that with this machine. Brilliant!!! Looking forward to lay me hands on it (well more foot) 😀
