Emotional is the right word. It’s so good. Been seeing a lot of bass hate on Instagram. Too many videos on social media focus on all this unnecessary flashy slap nonsense and if that’s your thing, cool, but I’ll take those ending chords to Mr Brightside or those 8th notes any day . That hits you in the feels and makes the bass awesome

I remember years ago when this song first came out I had recently just started playing guitar as a middle school American Boy and I was taking paid guitar lessons once every every week for $30 for a 30-minute lesson and one of my friends started playing bass guitar and the first song he learned was Mr Brightside and as soon as I heard him play that bass line that dun dun dun dun dun… DUN DUN DUN. That was it I was immediately obsessed with Bass. And such an easy song to learn. Smoke on the Water seems to be the first thing that comes to everyone's mind when a bass guitar is mentioned but Mr Brightside is literally chef's kiss it is an amazing song❤ probably a song anyone could learn within the first few days of playing bass guitar as long as you understand how to read simplified tablature
