  • I use pedals with my guitar and I love it but piezo transducers doesn't sound natural that is the bad point. It would be very interesting to add this pickup that sounds amazing but we cannot plug it into a pedal board ???? how can we blend both pickup and play through a pedal board?

  • I'm using fishman presys and they sound terrible. Once plugged in, the sound is too thin, almost like piercing to the ear. Even with the trebles turned down to zero, pre amp trebles are also zero, even the mixing board is turned down to zero. I even cut high mid and it's just terrible. ????????. I guess i'll try to get this one.

  • An impressive and balanced review, Fabian, and one I had been looking forward to because I am always looking for better live sound. I won't be buying it for a few reasons. First, I'm a pub and club musician doing mainly floor spots, and not all PAs have phantom power, so you are going to need an external preamp/eq, impacting the value of any mic or pickup immediately. A lot of clubs hate it when you do this. Some don't even have enough xlr inputs for mics and instruments or don't want to be bothered to change leads round. Second, I don't see the absence of batteries as a big advantage. I have a couple of t902 and a REB, but of which are humbucker/condensor mic combos with batteries. You can roll off the humbucker completely if you want a mic sound and there is plenty of volume especially with the T902, which comes in at about half the price of the NV, but you can also do the kind of mixing between sources you describe at the turn of a knob (or 2 with the T902) right in your soundhole. Third, honestly, I listened through good phones and speakers and I honestly didn't think the sound was that great. I can't compare it with mine as I haven't heard it live, but it was a bit tizzy and lacking bottom end, which is interesting on what looked to be a Lowden. Finally, I would have liked to have heard more of the actual acoustic sound, to get a fair comparison. Thank you very much for your review, and I guess it might be good for home recording or for a pro, but not for a floor singer like me turning up and plugging in.

  • Wow. Sounds surprising natural. I am one of the worlds first a foremost acoustic guitar pickup haters. Drives my band crazy (Well known Beatles tribute band in the Massachusetts/New Hampshire area. I had settled on a K and K pure mini and it has been adequate with some very rigorously prudent parametric EQ but, this one looks like it could be a great contender if able to withstand the outside concerts that we do during the summer. Where we are outside behind the PA, don't have to have much if any monitoring for the guitar, this might hang with those conditions in regards to feedback. Thanks for the nice Vid. Very, very intesting new option. I"m interested.

  • Interesstin…and the sound quality is amazing….that is in a controlled studio environment…., I am however sceptical of it in a live setting…., when it comes to feeback issues in a loud band setting

  • Great playing, man! Love your sound. I'm currently gigging 3 times a week at my church, and always looking to improve my guitar tone. I might have some installation challenges with my guitar(s), but at least I use a couple different DIs that have XLR inputs. That mic really does sound great. Also a superb video presentation!????

  • Problem is that we (mostly) don't hear the inside of the guitar when we play an acoustic.

    We hear the top.

It sounds decent here, but definitely different than live/mic-ed from the front.

  • thanks for starting the video with a clear and unambiguous disclaimer about your relationship to the company. No BS, "here's what I did and didn't get from them", and then on with the video. Refreshing!

  • I think at musician we focus on what we can control… right up into plug into DI box & then your at the mercy of the age, quality of the PA and sound desk…
