  • Rat just sounds ok..its nothing special in my opinion….i use a wampler triumph its got the stuff the rat doesnt

  • When I play bass, I like the Rat a lot, but I think it has trouble sticking out of a mix. I think my ideal pedal would be a 2-in-1 with a tube screamer going into a rat with a clean/dry blend.

  • I stack a klon clone into Rat and into a Duke of Tone in boost mode… Heavenly distortion.

  • this is my favorite drive pedal to stack with an orange amp's distortion. Adds fuzzyness and low end while remaining super clear. Power chords sound like there are two guitar players.

  • You know, I stack a drive into a rat all the time but I have never stacked a rat into a drive. I never really thought about it. I typically stack in order of ascending gain stages but thinking about it now I guess there is no right or wrong way to do it as all of these sound good.
