Do you have a compare and contrast between the sansamp and the sadowsky?
lol students got foderas today ,, i play 35 plus y,, 15 albums ,, thinking about 5 k euro bass// lefthanded so i can not test ,,wau i looooove it ,,and buy 2,5 or 9 kilo ,, i must gamble and order a 4/ or 8 k bass before testing , playing,, sound , they all got sound is in fingers settings and gear,, so // f 20020s

Can you use a 9v power supply on the SBP-2 pre
I want one of these, but I heard that Sadowsky is no longer making the SBP 1 and that the 2 is replacing it.
Thank you for the kind review, Steve. Just to clarify the role of the volume pot. The volume pot is at the "input" to the active tone circuit. I recommend that you always start at 10. You only want to dial it back a bit if you are overdriving or clipping the input stage of your amplifier. Just dial it back enough to get a clean sound.
