  • I really wish they made Stingrays with bigger neck radius, at least 12 inches. I had one, the neck is horrible for me

  • Beautiful bass. My dream bass! Lucky you, man. I just wanted to point out, not that this matters a lot or something, but you mixed up pickups position 2 with 4. 2 gives you outside rows and 4 gives you inside rows. Of course, I would look for my sound by listening to that sound, not by looking at the spec, so those positions don’t really matter. What matters is the sound they give me. And the sound is freaking awesome! Thank you for your nice presentation! ????

  • The sound quality for the price makes the Stingray a no brainer for me. The average listener can't tell the difference between the most expensive bass and a fairly priced Stingray.

  • definitely not a classic stingray bridge. seems like you are paying more for less now.

  • I don't like this new version. . a bass like an other without the own personality that defined the initial musicman stingray so special. . ????

  • I have a 2013 EB musicman Stingray HH. It's the same finish as this and has a maple bourd. I'm looking to trade it for a H. If you're interested then let me know.

  • Awesome review, just threw in for one. Pound for pound, I think Rays have always been my cup of tea, but these new Specials are the baddest production bass on the market. Wanted the ebony at first, but ended up going with the maple as well; it’s always treated me right. Thanks for a great demo and walkthrough.

The up grades are incredible , just had mine yesterday and use to play fender all my life , i dont diss fender at all but this instrument is next level and still people are still complaining i dont understand opinion are like anus everyone as one so if you dont like just go buy yourself a 35000 pound bass or better make it yourself see if your better then those companies! Just play !

  • Nobody else notice the fact that they’re putting cheap ass hardware on these? Just look at the bridge it’s the same piece of shit they put on the subbass. Buying this garbage is just going to encourage them to keep cutting corners.

  • That’s awesome they’re putting the same cheap ass bridge on these that they put on the sub bass. Great job music man!! nothing like turning a good instrument into a pile of shit.

  • You've got pickup positions #2 and #4 backwards … #2 is the two outside magnets for both pickups … #4 is the two inside magnets for both pickups

  • I've seen few reviews and these basses just doesn't seem to have that Music Man brightness. I remember when Gibson did the chambered Les Paul's and they said it wouldn't affect the tone didn't seem to be true, they sounded hollow and they didn't have that Les Paul crunch because of the missing weight.

  • I feel like they’re going to phase out the American-made sterling now. There’s really nothing that bass can offer that this new stingray can’t provide.

  • What's the real difference between the 4H and the 4HH? What are you really getting with the 4HH that you cannot get with the 4H? Is the 4HH really worth the extra money? Thanx …..

  • Man, I really want one. I already have a great great Stingray BFR, it does weight almost 10 pounds though, but it's very well balanced and sounds killer. I still wanna add one more 😀 Single H 4 string models for me though. Can't decide between tobacco burst with maple neck or black with maple neck (my current one is black sugar with roasted maple / ebony fretboard).
