This bass sounds amazing in every and each setup you wanna go. It just sounds flawless anyway you set it, love the sound of it, definitely a low-weight little beast !
I’m a pro bass player and have owned both the American Player Mustang short scale and also the MIM version and returned them both, the newer Music Man Sterling short Scale bass’s easily blow away the Mustangs, it’s not even a fair fight, the Music Man Sterling short scale bass wins by a landslide with price, playability and looks.
Plus, the Mustang has some serious neck dive and no contoured back making it also uncomfortable to play, and the Mustang neck is very chunky feeling as well.
For anyone looking for a GREAT short scale bass definitely check out the Music Man Sterling,,, ok, those are my thoughts and options.
Excellent demo for my tastes. I always want to hear the tone control all the way up then all the way down for each PUP. So many videos feature the tone only at 100% and that's a setting I almost never use. Good job. BTW I own the new Mustang PJ as well as several other quality basses.
