  • suggestion …use an app to remove the sax from the track and play the solo…I think people would love to hear the solo without the sax …but still, hear the backing track

  • This sounds like an arrangement that Frank Zappa would have come up with. Which is my way of saying that it is amazing.

  • I thought I would hear a pedal that makes the bass sounds like a sax, me and my stupid imagination.

  • Fucking alright I'd say. Love it I saw Stanley Clark only once in a small venue in Cleveland Ohio. He was just absolutely amazing. Probably not too politically correct now a days. But honestly my buddy and I were the only few white folks at that show of maybe 500 people. Our tickets put us dead center about 7 rows back from the stage. Almost for got to let you know also. My buddy and I just got off a 2 month long road trip following the Greatful Dead through Pittsburgh, Buffalo , Rochester, Montreal, Roanoke, Virginia Beach, Columbus, Buckeye Lake, Muncie, and back to Richland , just south of Cleveland. ( So I'll let you guys try to guess what state of mind we were in at Stanley's show). But all seriousness my buddy and I were in blue jeans long hair and tie-dyes. And every single black person there we're dressed to impress. Suit, tie, shiny shoes the works. Every one there except us were way over dressed. LOL but right at the beginning about 10 minutes in , Stanley is just Fucking jamming, and were just hollering and all of a sudden Stanley comes running down the isle and ain't missed a lick, and gives us both a hi-5 and like a shoulder hug and takes back off too the stage and gives us a peace sign. Man that Cat made my year, I'll never forget it and that was over 30 years ago and still talk about how cool Stanley Clark is. My buddy and I cheered him on the rest of the night. When I think about it now, I probably would have gotten pissed if I was 30 years older back then and took my wife out for an nice enjoyable evening of some great jazz, and ended up sitting next to 2 loud and over excited 18 year Olds who were acting like they just came off the road following the Dead or something irresponsible like that. But we were very polite to everyone "Yes Sir, No Sir" but we were just haveing a good time while all these stiff necked people were worried about getting something on their suit. Boy Oh boy to be 18 again and not have a care or a responsibility at all. I tell my boss back then I could take off for a month with a lighter in my pocket and broke and come back ready to go again. Now I can't leave the house for 8 hours for work without bringing 2 suit cases full of shit to get me through the day. Just don't know about getting old. It's not for everyone. And it's definitely not for sissies. Back then I could fall out of a tree and get up and wipe the dust off and go. Shit now if I sleep wrong I just about can't walk for a week. I really believe that Youth is wasted on the young. But I'm still jamming and living a great life with a wonderful wife for 30 years 3 kids That all grew up in like 2 months and now I have 7 grandchildren. And every time I turn around its someone's birthday. It's just goes so fast. If you are still young. Make sure you get a job that you love and will continue to love for a long time. Life is way too short to punish yourself every day 40 hours a week just to live. That's bullshit and don't do it. Right now looking back. I would rather have a job I love and make 25k a year than to have to go to some shit hole that you feel that you would rather take an ass kicking, than walk through the doors at your job for 75k a year. That's how big of a deal it is. And this is America you can do or become anything you set your mind to. Set your mind to something you want to do not something you have to do. The only obstacle in your way is yourself. And once you figure that out get your priorities right and straight, do what needs done first. Obey the law. Don't give the Government a damn penny more that what the tax law says you need to. And make sure you find a woman who is completely opposite and will be faithful and always have your best interest in mind. A woman that no matter what will defend your choice and love you no matter how stupid you get, and who will be your best friend and also be the greatest mother to your children. We need to stop raising idiots and get back to raising our kids with the basics fundamentals of life. About their rights and most definitely about other people's rights. I learned that I have all the rights that the US Constitution gives and then some. But…… my rights stop as soon as they start imposing on yours. I have the right to play my radio as loud as I want but as soon as it interferes with your ability to live a peaceful life than my rights must stop so they don't infringing on yours. It's called "kooth" or "cooth" or respect, politeness , friendly, nice. Don't raise them to think their bad asses and everyone else is weak and its kill or be killed. That's bullshit, we are all in this game together and everyone needs help time to time. Let's start thinking of others and about how we can help them succeed. Throw that damm TV in the trash, life is already too short. 2 things nobody will ever say on their death bed. 1.) I wish I would have worked more. And 2.) I wish I would have watched more TV. Think about it you probably spend more time in front of that retarded box than you do at work or sleep. I'm sorry that I got off track chasing a rabbit but somebody needed to read that. I'm not putting this out there to trip you up. I lived through many fuck ups that were completely all my fault and completely all my doing. Those choices just made the game a little harder, but I got through them. John Wayne said it best. "Life is hard, and it's a lot harder when your stupid" and I'll add 1 to it. When you fuck up , learn from it and don't do it again. No matter how good you think it is . Sorry again and have a wonderful Christmas

  • Sounds like the stuff Tim Bogert of VanillaFudge Fame laid down on the bands album "Near the Beginning" in 1969. The song is "The Break Song" , it's a 23 minute song consisting of solos by 4 of the best in the business, Mark Stein -Hammond Keyboards, Vince Martell,-Fender Guitar, Carmine Appice -Ludwig Drums, and Tim Bogert -Fender Bass. Tim's Bass solo consisted of bass playing the likes I haven't heard since. I can't believe he hasn't been featured by any bass players videos on here. You should check the Break Song out, he had lots to share, you'll be happy you did. Unfortunately Tim,s Bass went silent Jan of 2021.
