I liked the Grand J-16 best out of the three, but they all sounded wonderful. I’d take any of them.

I really like the sound of the first one. The more expensive ones have lovely, more complex tones but the brightness of the X2 really stands out even over the Jumbo I'd say.
HD12-28 I have a D12-20 (1-7/8" nut). How does the string spacing with 1-13/16" nut compare? I'm seriously thinking about a 14fret to complement my 12 fret
I preferred the dreadnought, if sounds like a Martin should. The other (quad 0?) sounds more like a Taylor, imo
