  • I watched a video by a narcissist young guy who wasn't able to play a thing with it and said that it wasn't even a toy guitar. He ended the video puting it in a rubbish bin. I hope he watches this to learn what a real guitar player is ????

  • I think that the most useful added function would be the ability to individually tune each string to allow for all the tunings todays artists use. An ability to save the settings for various tunings would be awesome.

  • OK, guess what: I have been doing music production since 1980. Yesterday I took my aeroband and tracked it for an acoustic guitar , dominant part. It was superior to doing this with my MARTIN because: 1) no detuning and beat frequencies 2) no volume variations 3) no messing with compressors, limiters, eq, and so on 4) no worrying about mike and mike placement. It was a smooth, lucscious, perfect track. It basically saved me about an hour or more messing with mikes and electronics to get a sound. And, there were at least 5 variations I could mess with beyond what I chose. And no, I did not MIDI it to something else. Straight output to DAW.

  • This is why people need to read the instructions first. You are able to do hammer ons with thos and bemd strings and slides, you have to enable these in the app.

  • I noticed you having trouble with the sensitivity a lot now that you've looked into it more you probably figured out how to adjust the sensitivity and whatnot so how's the playability now? Do you like it better with it more fine tuned?

  • 2:19. What a lovely rendition of "The Winner Takes it All". Benny and Bjorn really know how to write great music. Great video. Personally I would prefer it to be called the AeroBand SynthAxe or the like. It isn't really a guitar, is it? It's just a guitar shaped SynthAxe. The product could have been devleoped with some sort or pitch wheel or touchpad to permit pitch bends and pressure sensitive muting. They could incorporate extra sounds into it a la the Variax. If the thing supported a Rickenbacker 12 string range of tones it would probably sell in droves. It is the perfect set up for playing Rickenbacker 12 string arpeggios. Perhaps that will come in a version 2.0 model at some point. Thanks for the great review. Cheers from the Land Down Under.

  • not once did you 'strum' the aeroband. If it is only for fingerpicking it is useless for anyone with less skill than you have.

  • This was a very instructive review that has helped a lot.

As a neo-classical guitar player I feel like this instrument could be a lot of fun to play with because of the type of pieces that are more piano-orientated that you could play with a more authentic sound.

  • Just wanted to point out that someone mentioned that you can mute by placing your hand over the first plastic piece. I’m not a player just curious about it.

  • I I just ordered one of these. I’ll keep it for a week and then I’ll decide whether or not to keep it. Great review ????????

  • I’ve got one coming tomorrow. I intend to use it to improve my chord and finger picking knowledge. I can’t wait to play with it.

  • The silver bar that’s on the “bridge” is the palm mute.

Edited: after watching further, you state you’d just taken it out of the box in this video and haven’t even looked through all the setting and the manual.

So you most likely saw the palm mute and other features.

Sorry for the reiteration of info you may already have.

  • Great review.. I thought it might be good for my granddaughter as a starter guitar but would agree with you it is not for a beginner ????

  • This is my worst purchase I ever made. Apart from the appearance it has not much in common with any guitar not even those egg slicer strings. The handling is terrible and sounds limited – unless you buy an expensive DAW. You might call it “The real Trump Guitar”.

  • total garbage maybe if the price point was 60$ it would be a good toy for kids. All you have managed to do is make me totally distrust your reviews! I will be interested to see how long a negative review is allow to stand

  • This is actually pretty interesting to me. I just watched a video of someone just hating it so much. But im a big synth fan, I love synth instruments. I have a YDS-120, im about to buy an Roland Aerophone AE20, I love my korg M3. I play actual piano, and guitar and sax. And i think if I want to play a piano guitar or saxophone for whatever reason, then I'd do that. But Im really into synthwave / vaporwave stuff, and I like using my YDS for the saxophone, and my korg for that aesthetic. So this to me, seems like it works, as I would expect it to. I dont get the vitriol I guess of some reviewers. This isnt a guitar but it seems like its a pretty good synth. Its a different instrument I think, not a "lesser" instrument. And that always bugs me, many musicians have a very haughty dismissive attitude towards synthetic instruments for whatever reason.

The saxophone community is like that with the yds 120. They say it doesn't sound like a "real" saxophone, and I agree because its not a real saxophone. I personally love the synthetic saxophone sound. I like old video game music, I like that kind of sound. Its not lesser its just different. This was a great video i really like the even handed approach here. Personally as a finger picking guitarist I think this would work very well for me.
