????sweet
No…we don't ALL enjoy slap nd pop – sorry, not sorry.
How does it feel compared to the Stillleto? Thats literally the other guitar I'm looking at. I love the feel of the Stillleto.
Compliments bro. You are, simple, efficent, an direct. I will listen all of your videos. I have Spector Euro 4 tld signature of 90's and is a jewel of bass guitar. Respect and happy new year Bro m/
I haven't heard the best things about the Performer series, so was really curious how the Legend series is in terms of build quality, QC and fretwork. I'm looking to upgrade and a black cherry Legend 5 is on my shortlist.
So I got this model about a year ago and I love this bass. Im a for personal enjoyment player but it feels and sounds great and the price is also fantastic.
As to your comments on the ability to do some maintainace on the tuning keys heres a little story. In december our house got hit by a tornado and water had gotten onto my bass, two or the tuning keys got wet and by the time we were settled enough that I could play again they were getting ceased up. By being able to unscrew and get to the cogs I was easily about to clean a bit and effectively relubricate the workings. Back to smooth easy mobility and they are still completely reliable.
I grew up in upstate New York and and bud of mine actually works for Spector now, Im glad to finally own one and it even as their entry level bass its well crafted, Im super happy.
nice playing !! Please check out my new instruments at Esopus Guitars.
Was it light??
Great value this bass.
I was considering it but took the decision to refurbish my 1980s Nanyo Bass Collection 300 series by dropping in a Glockenklang. Nice review, very concise.
Dude, your parrot was getting down!
Great review! I just felt in love with that bass, today i will tray it at my local shopping here in Italy!
Great job bro!
You wore the same coulour shirt as your bird.
Great review! Got a Spector Legend 5…..12 years ago and still has that brand new bass feel to me! Seeing and hearing this video has made me realize how much I need the Spector Legend 4.
Love the channel and your ideas On what this channel is about !!!
Cheers ????
I worked in a rehearsal space and a kid had his spector in the office to sell it. Bubinga body pj pick ups 4 band stacked tone knobs gold hardware i played it cause i was bored then i bought ir. Then i bought 2 more a 4 and a 5 string with double humbuckers. I love em all
Nice review!
Would be nice to hear the bass in the mix.
Sorry man.
I really like your channel.
But i definitely won't check out your nut sauce!!!
I just realised your parrot is on your arm. So cool.
Hey there can I ask what strings you're using. I have a Spector Legend 4 and ever since I bought new strings it doesn't sound as good! HELP! Yours sounds exactly like mine did with its original strings.
Thanks, Link says not available maybe find another link for viewers 🙂
I subscribed once I saw the bird ???? more bird please.
Bird syncopates flawlessly!
I've got a legend 4, had it for 18 years I think. Different than this with EMG-HZ pups.
It was my first good bass and made me a better player in short order. Great neck for my left hand, lighter than the previous knock off I had, sounds phenomenal. Got it new for less than $600CAD.
Sidebar: I took a close look at a much more expensive Spector later. Can't recall the model. But it seemed that my Legend had a noticeably better fit and finish than that expensive one. Maybe I'm just trying to justify my cheapness????
Weight?
Ok, on a side note, can we take a moment to appreciate his bird getting into the groove on his shoulder as he's playing? that's the cutest thing I've ever seen!
Really thinking of buying this bass. Was that bird jammin?
Dan, I just bought a black Spector five string today. Plays very easily and well! Now, what would such a model like that with two humbuckers be called? Is it a legend?
Such a good bass, especially for £600. I've got the walnut burl ????
Bad ass bass ,the colors cool too
Do you believe this bass could achieve a tone similar to Rex Brown/Pantera tone with an Ampeg Ba110?
Would this have a TOOL bass tone
Great review and demo!! Thanks
The Tone Pump Jr is the BP-4 from Michalik https://www.michalik.cz/bp-4
Bass: +14dB/-4dB @55Hz
Treble: +14dB/-12dB @6,5kHz
How would you say this compares to sire? Similar priced? Im looking to buy my first bass. (Guitarist for 30 yrs. Just taking up bass) appreciate your opinion
Awesome demo. Yeah if ya got a higher end, like a Spector euro, you’re going to find more options in the tone pump department.
I just had to share that I watched this video in January and purchased a Legend 4 classic a few weeks later. Thank you so much for this video. It compelled me to find my favorite bass from the local shop. I brought it to a jam session with some VASTLY more experienced musicians and everyone loved it.
This might be at stupid question: If the battery runs out (or you take it out) will the bass still be able to work as a completely passive instrument?
Great review. It'd be awesome if you could cover the Hagstrom Super Swede 4 string bass.
Can you weight it please? Thank you, appreciating your videos since long time ????
The Tone Pump Jr actually has 12db of boost and cut. But I agree, a notch would be better.
The Tone Pump Jr is different from the Tone Pump that the TP has a trim pot on the preamp itself to vary the output.
Johnny April of Staind runs his Legend with everything wide open, so the two of you like that setting best. Lol
Glad I found your channel! And yes I subscribed.
And the parrot rocking out was fantastic!
Tone pump jr and tone pump are both -12 db bass -4treble no center detent if I'm not mistaken then are both made by another company based in the czech republic for spector. Love my spectors my spector family consists of a older spector q4 pro (older model slab body 2 emg 35hz humbuckers originally had a emg bts 2 band pre amp now has a 18 volt darkglass tone capsule and gotoh dual battery box and a hipshot gb7 extender) , 2007 Rebop 5 dlx ex (zebrawood) came with emg 40hz and non trim tone pump (now has emg bqc 3 band) 2019/early 2020 Spector Euro 5lt violet burst matching headstock ash wings (not alder ) emg 40dc (swapped out for 40dcx) and spector tone pump. Honestly I pick up my old q4 more then my euro 5lt and Rebop 5dlx.
Good review man.. also god bless you and happy new year man.
Excellent review. Concise & good information. Loved the slap! I have the 5 string Legend Classic with a quilted maple top & I love the thing. So much so that I ordered the 4 string version with a walnut burl top & cannot wait for it to arrive! I did have a chance to try out a few Standards & was not impressed with them. My guitarist in my band made the observation that they did not punch through the mix well. The Classic however, punches right through. Thanks again & great review.
excellent demo on a killer bass, the punch is insane, I love it. your funk in the 11th minute is really sweet.
Nice review!
