You can't beat the growl! I got a Geddy Lee DI 2112 ans it sounds really good but the gain is kinda thin
Honestly, the sansamp fills up a lot more space in the frequency spectrum on bass, which I enjoy and fits so well. Sometimes, I like to add a darkglass pedal in parallel for extra distortion if needed
Still the best amp/cab simulator combo IMO, which makes it perfect for straight to FOV or recording.
It just plain works. Even with a Jazz Bass on the front pup, with a P-Bass inspired sound, it works.
I prefer mu Two notes Opus, i have Bassman sound and Ampeg too.
This and Darkglass x ultra are my favorites

people hate on pieces like this cos it's 'boomer gear' and doesn't have a cartoon graphic. There's a reason why this one has stood the test of time
Thanks Johnny! Sounds real good to me. After trying a couple of different amps, preamps, DIs, I rarely found a sansamp sound bad in a video. I think I got to get a used one just to see if your statement is true.
