How I write ALT-ROCK like Slow Joy | Sunday Riff Refinery Ep. 17

Is this song even EMO? I used a Midwest EMO guitar tuning I found recently, and had WAY too much fun with it… Can I pull off writing a song in the vein of Slow Joy? Full track incoming!

Well, @slowjoyslowjoy released a new album on Friday. Surprise surprise, it’s a BANGER of an alt rock, emo, grunge rock album! I have had it on repeat sine it came out, and you already KNOW I had to try and write something in the same style. I wasn’t quite sure my vocals would come out the way I envisioned, but what do you all think?
